Editor's Notes
As discussed by the department, this course will be focused on strengthening your command of the English language which is geared towards language proficiency. So, that’s our target or end goal. Talking about strengthening or mastery of the language, it goes deep down to the basic/fundamental components of English all the way to its pragmatic or advanced components. We must always remember that nobody has become expert without knowing first the basics.
So this is what we refer to as the basic components.
Let’s relate this one to your field:
Components of Midwifery Care: Fundamentals
Anatomy and physiology, including fetal anatomy and physiology.
Normal growth and development.
Clinical genetics.
Psychosocial, sexual, and behavioral development.
Basic epidemiology.
Nutrition.
Pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics.
In english, grammar and vocabulary is what we referred to as the basics/fundamentals. Think of those public speakers, diba they craft/make their own piece or speech, and we are very amazed how are they able to create those powerful speeches, its become they’re expert of the basics.
