To whom it may concern
I truly believe that education should be a choice for every one and the most
important human rights which one makes every right possible to be achieved.
That is why since I was 14 years old I have been dedicating my whole life to
education as a professional for early childhood.
Firstly, let me introduce with a few words the history that makes education as a
choice in my case. When I was 7 years old kindergarten pupil, a dream of being
a teacher grow inside of me because of my lovely professor. Then, at
secondary school I started to study education at a technical college during 4
years in order to become a primary education and kindergarten teacher.
At that point, I already knew how important is a public school, free and
mandatory education is for every child, despite the fact that their race, religion,
nationality, gender and social condition. Education is a right to every child.
At 2006, I graduated from São Paulo University by getting Pedagogy degree. I
have to declare that during the graduation I had the opportunity to develop a
research about immigrant children adaptation at both education system, in
Brazil and Japan. My experiences as a teacher began at 1999 with kindergarten
2. children at a public school. Nevertheless, my experience teaching Portuguese
to immigrant children started at 2007 as a volunteer at Japanese public school,
when I was study abroad in Japan, from 2006 to 2008.
Nowadays, I have been attending Human Rights in Education and Public Policy
Master's Program at PUCPR, Brazil. In this moment, my research is about early
childhood programs around the world that empowered families to know what is
the properly education and cares to give for children in vulnerable situations in
order to success at school and also in life.
This research has become the door to know many kinds of human rights
violations and how governments have been elaborating public policies that
integrate the services offered to protect children rights when they became a
immigrant or refugee children in another country. Because of that, I have also
applied Mobility CONFAP Italy 2018 Program and Peace and Conflict
Resolution 2018 Program of Rotary Club, for researching about the right to
education and the public policy for children living in another country as
immigrant or refugee.
That is the reason for applying for OEA Program because I intend to research
about the right to education and public policy for immigrant and refugee children
at USA. That will assist to achieve a comparative analyze between Japan, Italy
and USA policies for vulnerable children, for building a peaceful global society.
