Design Thinking Action Lab 2013
In general, the professor's focus is to give basic
knowledge to the students and wait for the ones
who are interested to come and ask more.
Most part of the students
want to get a degree to get
a good job that pays well.
Wants to make the
difference in his
students lives.
The University doesn't teach
what the market wants from
the professionals. There is a
need for the student to
understand theory and how
can he/she use it in life.
In the Brazilian Private Universities, most of the
students work to pay the fees. They just wanted
to finish it and get the degree.
Learning how to relate
concepts and real life
situations is what build
up a mature professional
The educator role is
to stimulate creativity.
The
educators
should be an
example for
the students.
The professor isn't
anymore the one who
has the wisdom,
unapproachable.
It must have dialogue
between students and
educators. The social
medias help on that.
Interships
approach the
academic
world to the
professional
world.
The professor is the
moderator between theory
and practice for the students.
More scolarships would make easier the
development of ideas and the immersion
of the students in a subject going from
thinking to practice of concepts.
The communication should
be natural and easy.
Internship can be a
great tool for a good
transition from student
to professional.
Bruno, design professor, dreamer,
optimistic, responsible for his students,
committed to education,
promote dialogue among his students,
go deeper in theory and work concepts
in real situation
he wants to help his students to get
the best professional opportunities.
The reality is that Bruno's students have
to work all day long and they need to be
motivated to search for more knowledge
and do the best in their classes to
become the best professionals.
Bruno sees that to become closer to the
students is a good way to make the
difference.
To get a good job after
the degree is very
important.
There is no room for
thinking deeper in the reality
of our privates Universities.
His experience as
professional help
him to understand
the students and
bring the concepts
for them reality.
There is no incentive
for reserching.
He feels how difficult it is to
promote researching when
the market wants technical
knowledge from the
students.
