Profile Essay
Profile Essay My best friend Leah Nepomuceno is one of the strongest people I know, especially
when it comes to family. Family to her is everything and she has done all she can to try and keep
hers together as a whole. We were in sixth grade swinging on the swings outside at recess,
whispering and giggling about our usual gossip when she received news from one of our
teachers that we knew was serious by the look on her face and fear in her voice. She came up to
us and told her she needed to go the office and that she was being dismissed, she gave me
permission to walk with her inside. On the short but long felt walk inside Leah's heart was
pounding, her hands were sweating, and her eyes were slowly filling with tears. Her mom was...show

"This hurt a lot, it was like my mom didn't care, never cared, how could she leave me with all
those responsibilities I was only 15 years old" she said when I asked her how it made her feel
(Nepomuceno). This was truly heart breaking to see, especially being so young and watching all
of this happen to my best friend when there wasn't much I could do besides be the best friend I
could. Ron soon couldn't be in the house anymore and had to be moved into a hospital with a
rehab facilitation. This made it extremely hard on Leah because the hospital was an hour away
limiting the time she got to spend with her dad. "I started visiting every weekend making it
extremely hard for me to have a social life or a boy friend. I started getting extremely depressed
which was making my attendance at school and work suffer." After Leah put herself through
drivers ed and got her license she used the old car they had to make these hospital visits. The gas
money was becoming a problem so she knew there was only one thing she could do, get a part
time job working downtown. "I hated asking my dad for money and my mom was never there for
us, so I decided to work instead of get back into track," Leah said when I asked her what she did to
afford the hospital visits (Nepomuceno). Leah hated being in the hospital all the time though, she
said it felt empty and always smelt like rubber gloves. When Ron was moved to a better hospital that

How To Write A Personal Profile Essay
Alejandro is a vibrant and enthusiastic boy. I went to his house and had the opportunity to learn
about him and his family. I first started by introducing myself and creating an atmosphere for him
where he will feel comfortable talking with me. I asked him his name, age, and grade in school. He
then started talking about his friends at school and what they do during recess. I asked Alejandro if
he could share with me an object that is important to him. He ran to his room and brought back a
maraca. The maraca was brown. He showed me how he plays his maraca and started singing a song.
I asked him what does the maraca mean to him? He told me that the maraca is special to him because
his grandmother brought it to him from the Dominican Republic....show more content...

He even showed me videos of people playing the maraca on his iPad. His iPad was filled with
videos of people paying different instruments. He told me that his mother helps him search for
videos and save them so he can watch them on his free time. I asked him if there is anything else
he could tell me about the maraca. He said that his mother told him that the maraca is used in
many countries and that they have been used as a form of instrument for many years. Alejandro
told me that in school he learned how you could make on at home. Once when his friend came
over they did maracas using plastic cups, tape, and rice. He said he had fun making the maracas.
He told me next time I come and visit we could make maracas and I can take it home with me. I

Personality Profile : My Personality Essay
I have to admit that I was skeptical at completing the personality profile. I thought, "How could a few
questions determine everything about my management style". When I received my results, I was
astonished at how accurate these results portrayed my personality. While deciding which of my
personality traits were advantageous and which were detrimental to my management style, I became
conflicted as all of my scores can be portrayed as both positive and negative depending on the
situation.
I would classify my most advantageous trait to be scoring very low on the neuroticism scale. I have
the ability to remain calm in the most stressful situations. Most would believe the neuroticism
would be a negative trait. The word neuroticism, taken from the word neurotic has a negative
connotation. Neuroticism is defined as being characterized as full of anxiety, fear, moodiness,
worry, envy, frustration, loneliness and jealousy. I personally scored very low on this personality
trait. The low score would categorize me as very calm, secure, hardy, relaxed and stable. The
spectrum of these traits all lends to handling tense situations with a calm, collected even
temperament. Performing managerial duties on a daily basis requires one to be all of these traits
and more.
Imagine a business full of employees who would like to strike or walk out due to the fact of the
mother company has cancelled several of their benefits or an employee who has had multiple issue

In doing my personality profile project, I learned new things, confirmed known things, and disagree
with some information about myself. I will take this time to compare and contrast my new found
information. I did not hear of a Jung Typology test before now. The one that I chose was Human

Personal Leadership Profile Paper
When taking the two leadership surveys, it was interesting to see my personal leadership profile. My
leadership style according to the survey is the instructional type, which in another world is direct
leadership. My culture, upbringing, and work environment have transformed me to be direct leaders
that are looking for stability. My staff members sadly do not have the opportunity to have a job that
is autonomy; working in a manufacturing occupation, one has an organize agenda that cannot be
deviated from the task ahead. When team members are needing help or trying to build the familiarity
to run their equipment my personal leadership profile can be helpful, since being direct is a starting
point to build knowledge. The more one individual shows knowledge, familiar, and passionate for

Conflict can be complex to understand when aggression happens in a group organization. When
looking at group dynamics in any vocation, adaptive conflict can be acceptable in a group. What is
conflict, one would ask? Conflict is a disagreement with an individual, it can also be an argument
with a person. Disagreements in any workgroup can be effective or ineffective.
The conflict that is flexible and encourages creativity, innovation or open–mindedness can create a
healthy work environment. The adaptive conflict has the opportunity to challenge group thinking. It
can push a dynamic group to create a different paradigm of a business. The further new thinking one

there can be a positive outcome involved in it. Hugh Freeze takes the opportunity every day to

I Am Becoming A Person
People strive their entire lives at goals that lead to nothing. They work to complete things that the
micro–society around them has deemed "acceptable". Some may graduate high school, then hang
out in their neighborhood from nine to five. A few may marry off only to ponder on their true
dreams. Others attend college, then spend the rest of their lives working toward another person's
life goal. Then there are the people who go through the storm of life striving for the greatest
opportunities life should offer. I am becoming that person. The person who sees the possibilities in
a world of impossible. In my life, many would say a goal I've accomplished is surviving the many
unfortunate preconceived life obstacles that I have endured. From mother abandonment to having an
incarcerated father. Yet for myself my greatest life goal to date was not only being the first student to
study abroad from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) but being able to encourage
other African American students to pursue study abroad.
For me attending college felt like an opportunity to avoid being homeless and to pursue something
I naturally excelled in, education. The idea of college changing my life was merely a fantasy, but
upon entering college the thought of leaving the country had not been conceived yet. When I first
arrived at UMES I was curious but not satisfied. I felt as if I was paying for something that did not
grasp my interest. Apart of me craved more from life. Apart of me

My Mother Essay
What can one say about their mother? One may talk about her positive and negative characteristics.
There are so many great traits I love and admire about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair
to write about just one. Being strong, generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits,
which my mother possesses.
Ever since I can remember, my mother has been a strong individual. She raised my brother and I
financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually by herself. My mom gave her all, by that I
mean, she worked two jobs to make sure her children ate properly and that they had the essential
amenities to grow happily and successfully. Another way she supported us was with love and care.

strong faith and views in her religion. When I was younger, every day and night, she would bring
prayer time to me and my brother's attention. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the
seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time
was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it.
One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us
with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle.
My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's
rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although my mother's intentions were good,
occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came
to my mother in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the
agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly installments. My mom never did see
the money that was due to her. Despite the incident she still gives and encourages others to give,
whether is it a donation, or volunteering your time in your community. My

My Personal Identity Essay
A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests
and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some
factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a

Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends
I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music'
is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of
adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart
pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I
love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be
on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics
that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly
consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering
(especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is
measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very
strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that,
although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will

Essay on Community Profile
Introduction
The locality I have based my community profile on is Ardoyne. I feel that Ardoyne is familiar
enough for me to carry out my research as I have lived here all my life. Although my project is
based in Belfast city centre, we work with many groups and young people from the Ardoyne area.
this would prove beneficial to myself as I would sometimes have already developed a relationship
with the young people through community life.
I will firstly explore the community I have chosen by speaking to local people, using photographs,
and recordings of my observations. In doing so I intend to create a picture and overall feeling of
the community as well as the people who live here. This data will be accompanied by my own
comments in...show more content...
For a community that witnesses a lot of conflict during each year Ardoyne is full of people who
love to chat and help out whatever why they can. The older generation in particular take pride in
their 'what's mine is yours' attitude. While taking this picture an old lady quietly asked me if I
was a tourist. I replied laughing telling her no. she went on to tell me that she walked her
granddaughter to school through the protesters each morning while it lasted. In that time she had to
endure spitting and urine filled balloons being hurled at her by the protesters. She also talked
about the day a pipe bomb was thrown at the parents and children of the school. She said she
'wouldn't wish it on anyone' as she slowly walked off. I couldn't help thinking what a bizarre
experience just chatting with the old lady, who was completely open to sharing her experience with
me.
Improving a specific aspect of community life
The aspect of community life I have chosen to explore is the 'drinking culture' within Ardoyne. In the
small area that is Ardoyne there are eight pubs, five of which being night clubs. I feel that this
environment is contributing to the many issues facing the community of Ardoyne.
There were a total of 547 offences

The Trait Theory Of Personality Essay
ESSAY TOPIC: Describe the trait theory of personality. Select one "factor" or "trait" from a
prominent trait theory and discuss the relative strengths and weaknesses of someone who strongly
exhibits this trait.
1. Introduction
Traits are described as the unique and constant characteristic tendencies that shape and influence a
person's mood and behaviour (Ewen 2013, p. 110; Olesen, Thomsen & O'Toole 2015, p. 45).
Prominent personality psychologists Gordon Allport, authored the first American review of
psychological literature on personality and character in 1921, citing numerous sources that involved
trait concepts (Barenbaum & Winter 2008, p. 3). Notably, personality psychologists Gordon Allport,
Raymond Cattell and Hans Eysenck made important contributions towards the understanding of
personality traits that continue to influence modern trait theory (Barenbaum & Winter 2008, p. 12).
Drawing from the work of these theorists, Paul Costa and Robert McCrae developed the widely
accepted Five Factor Theory (FFT) (Ewen 2013, p. 140; John, Naumann & Soto 2008, p. 120).
Neuroticism is one of the basic factors of personality featuring in several trait theories, including the
FFT. Further, numerous studies have shown a significant link between negative mental health
outcomes and high levels of neuroticism (Lahey 2009, p. 241 & 242). This essay will discuss the
trait theory of personality and the outcomes for people who strongly exhibit neuroticism.

Psychology of Communication and Relationship Management
Personal Communication Profile
Communication is something we do without thinking as it comes naturally. As babies we
communicate through sign language. Our hands go out to pick a baby up, the baby soon learns that
this language of communication gets results. Crying is another form of attention. As babies age they
also learn to talk. They soon learn that saying the correct words along with body language, gets them
what they want. Communicating with people I find is my strongest asset and using verbal and
nonverbal communication can be testing, but beneficial used in the correct way. Currie (2007) states

Concentration and listening constitute a positive conversational base. The most important part of
communication is listening. The skill deficit the writer has in communication is concentration. I can
overcome this by taking my time documenting data in clearer detail and not rushing. Remembering

Personality Profile Reflection Paper
Organizational behavior studies human behavior and the impact individual attitudes and actions
have on performance in the workplace. To provide a personal perspective of personality
characteristics, the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) assessment was used to measure
aspects of my personality and how these traits relate to working with others and life within an
organization. Key observations provide specific insight into how these are applied to workplace
behavior and interactions with others. Personal self–reflection related to workplace behavior is
offered, including lessons learned to assist in becoming a better employee, coworker, and/or
manager, and how the Holy Spirit has assisted in transforming weaknesses into...show more content...
Values and Attitudes Insights. Values highlight what we stand for and believe expressed through our
attitudes guiding behavior, decision–making, and action. Recognizing our values and how they are
reflected in our attitudes provides the foundation needed to understand who we are and how we
make choices. Scoring 3 points related to power demonstrates a low importance while scoring 10
in Universalism demonstrates a higher developed concern for others without regard to position or
other allegiances. Combined with a positivity ratio of 8 (positivity tally of 8 divided by negativity
tally of 1), the expectancy theory can be used to predict behavior when choice of actions must be
made (Kinicki & Fugate, 2016). Consequently, I am hopeful my behavior clearly reflects my
devotion and caring for others as witnessed in God's unconditional love.
Motivation Insights. Driven to public service, I identify with the high intrinsic motivation score of
27 and the correlation to Deci and Ryan's self–determination theory outlining a typical public
employee's motivation through a sense of duty and reputation for service (Park, 2012, p. 708).
Research has focused on social factors that enhance intrinsic motivation finding psychological needs
of autonomy, competence, and relatedness contributing to self–motivation (Ryan, 2000). Therefore,
these needs relate directly to the measured high levels of autonomy motivation (27 pts.), competence
motivation (27 pts.),

Profile Essay on My Best Friend's Strength

  • 1. Profile Essay Profile Essay My best friend Leah Nepomuceno is one of the strongest people I know, especially when it comes to family. Family to her is everything and she has done all she can to try and keep hers together as a whole. We were in sixth grade swinging on the swings outside at recess, whispering and giggling about our usual gossip when she received news from one of our teachers that we knew was serious by the look on her face and fear in her voice. She came up to us and told her she needed to go the office and that she was being dismissed, she gave me permission to walk with her inside. On the short but long felt walk inside Leah's heart was pounding, her hands were sweating, and her eyes were slowly filling with tears. Her mom was...show more content... "This hurt a lot, it was like my mom didn't care, never cared, how could she leave me with all those responsibilities I was only 15 years old" she said when I asked her how it made her feel (Nepomuceno). This was truly heart breaking to see, especially being so young and watching all of this happen to my best friend when there wasn't much I could do besides be the best friend I could. Ron soon couldn't be in the house anymore and had to be moved into a hospital with a rehab facilitation. This made it extremely hard on Leah because the hospital was an hour away limiting the time she got to spend with her dad. "I started visiting every weekend making it extremely hard for me to have a social life or a boy friend. I started getting extremely depressed which was making my attendance at school and work suffer." After Leah put herself through drivers ed and got her license she used the old car they had to make these hospital visits. The gas money was becoming a problem so she knew there was only one thing she could do, get a part time job working downtown. "I hated asking my dad for money and my mom was never there for us, so I decided to work instead of get back into track," Leah said when I asked her what she did to afford the hospital visits (Nepomuceno). Leah hated being in the hospital all the time though, she said it felt empty and always smelt like rubber gloves. When Ron was moved to a better hospital that was Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 3. How To Write A Personal Profile Essay Alejandro is a vibrant and enthusiastic boy. I went to his house and had the opportunity to learn about him and his family. I first started by introducing myself and creating an atmosphere for him where he will feel comfortable talking with me. I asked him his name, age, and grade in school. He then started talking about his friends at school and what they do during recess. I asked Alejandro if he could share with me an object that is important to him. He ran to his room and brought back a maraca. The maraca was brown. He showed me how he plays his maraca and started singing a song. I asked him what does the maraca mean to him? He told me that the maraca is special to him because his grandmother brought it to him from the Dominican Republic....show more content... I told him that I will paly the maraca and he could sing for me. As soon as he started singing I started playing the maraca he showed me how to hold it and how I can create different rhythms. He even showed me videos of people playing the maraca on his iPad. His iPad was filled with videos of people paying different instruments. He told me that his mother helps him search for videos and save them so he can watch them on his free time. I asked him if there is anything else he could tell me about the maraca. He said that his mother told him that the maraca is used in many countries and that they have been used as a form of instrument for many years. Alejandro told me that in school he learned how you could make on at home. Once when his friend came over they did maracas using plastic cups, tape, and rice. He said he had fun making the maracas. He told me next time I come and visit we could make maracas and I can take it home with me. I asked Alejandro if I could take a picture of his maraca. • 4. Personality Profile : My Personality Essay I have to admit that I was skeptical at completing the personality profile. I thought, "How could a few questions determine everything about my management style". When I received my results, I was astonished at how accurate these results portrayed my personality. While deciding which of my personality traits were advantageous and which were detrimental to my management style, I became conflicted as all of my scores can be portrayed as both positive and negative depending on the situation. I would classify my most advantageous trait to be scoring very low on the neuroticism scale. I have the ability to remain calm in the most stressful situations. Most would believe the neuroticism would be a negative trait. The word neuroticism, taken from the word neurotic has a negative connotation. Neuroticism is defined as being characterized as full of anxiety, fear, moodiness, worry, envy, frustration, loneliness and jealousy. I personally scored very low on this personality trait. The low score would categorize me as very calm, secure, hardy, relaxed and stable. The spectrum of these traits all lends to handling tense situations with a calm, collected even temperament. Performing managerial duties on a daily basis requires one to be all of these traits and more. Imagine a business full of employees who would like to strike or walk out due to the fact of the mother company has cancelled several of their benefits or an employee who has had multiple issue with work, home and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I will take this time to compare and contrast my new found information. I did not hear of a Jung Typology test before now. The one that I chose was Human metrics. The test showed that my personality was INFJ. Which, when I break it down it's, Introvert (22%), which is a shy person who finds it hard to talk to others. intuitive (38%), which means that I understand things without any proof or evidence, also characterized by intuition, and agreeing with what seems naturally right. Feelings is (12%), having an emotional state or reaction, and thoughts of wanting to help someone who is sick, hungry in trouble, etc....show more content... I am not sure I agree 100% with that. I was reading the Five– Factor Model (FFM): Five Basic Personality Traits and it talked about. Extroversion people are sociable, outgoing, talkative, fun loving, and affectionate at the high end with introverted individuals who tend to be withdrawn, quiet, passive, and reserved (Huffman).I am quiet until I feel the person out and I am comfortable, then I will talk, but like I said I am a listener, so I am in sum what an agreement with that, but I am outgoing and fun loving, and I like to make people Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Personal Leadership Profile Paper When taking the two leadership surveys, it was interesting to see my personal leadership profile. My leadership style according to the survey is the instructional type, which in another world is direct leadership. My culture, upbringing, and work environment have transformed me to be direct leaders that are looking for stability. My staff members sadly do not have the opportunity to have a job that is autonomy; working in a manufacturing occupation, one has an organize agenda that cannot be deviated from the task ahead. When team members are needing help or trying to build the familiarity to run their equipment my personal leadership profile can be helpful, since being direct is a starting point to build knowledge. The more information one has to understand leadership the further one will be able to go in one's career. Leadership is not easy, one has to have the ability and buy in of the team to be successful in any project. Conflict can be complex to understand when aggression happens in a group organization. When looking at group dynamics in any vocation, adaptive conflict can be acceptable in a group. What is conflict, one would ask? Conflict is a disagreement with an individual, it can also be an argument with a person. Disagreements in any workgroup can be effective or ineffective. The conflict that is flexible and encourages creativity, innovation or open–mindedness can create a healthy work environment. The adaptive conflict has the opportunity to challenge group thinking. On a daily basis, people could speak negative things about you and make you look so bad. That's how most social media accounts work now days. And then, there can be a positive outcome involved in it. Hugh Freeze takes the opportunity every day to speak some wisdom to anyone who will listen. I go back and look at all the things he has said and done over the past couple years; it really amazes me at how nice a person can be. He still carries himself well on his social media account and has shown these people that are against him, that he loves them and that will never change. The whole NCAA situation seemed like they were out to get Hugh because of his faith. He has been through a lot of scrutiny throughout the whole investigation but has maintained his composure and stability. I believe that he hasn't broken any rules, but they NCAA thinks otherwise and may be able to force him out of his job; yet he still preaches life to all of his followers. Hugh is a man of faith and I am proud of the way he has held it together. Social media can rip a person apart and totally destroy you if it lets you. • 8. I Am Becoming A Person People strive their entire lives at goals that lead to nothing. They work to complete things that the micro–society around them has deemed "acceptable". Some may graduate high school, then hang out in their neighborhood from nine to five. A few may marry off only to ponder on their true dreams. Others attend college, then spend the rest of their lives working toward another person's life goal. Then there are the people who go through the storm of life striving for the greatest opportunities life should offer. I am becoming that person. The person who sees the possibilities in a world of impossible. In my life, many would say a goal I've accomplished is surviving the many unfortunate preconceived life obstacles that I have endured. From mother abandonment to having an incarcerated father. Yet for myself my greatest life goal to date was not only being the first student to study abroad from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) but being able to encourage other African American students to pursue study abroad. For me attending college felt like an opportunity to avoid being homeless and to pursue something I naturally excelled in, education. The idea of college changing my life was merely a fantasy, but upon entering college the thought of leaving the country had not been conceived yet. When I first arrived at UMES I was curious but not satisfied. I felt as if I was paying for something that did not grasp my interest. Apart of me craved more from life. There are so many great traits I love and admire about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair to write about just one. Being strong, generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits, which my mother possesses. Ever since I can remember, my mother has been a strong individual. She raised my brother and I financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually by herself. My mom gave her all, by that I mean, she worked two jobs to make sure her children ate properly and that they had the essential amenities to grow happily and successfully. My mother My mother has always had strong faith and views in her religion. When I was younger, every day and night, she would bring prayer time to me and my brother's attention. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it. One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle. My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although my mother's intentions were good, occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came to my mother in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly installments. My mom never did see the money that was due to her. Despite the incident she still gives and encourages others to give, whether is it a donation, or volunteering your time in your community. My Get more content on HelpWriting.net

He just graduated from a random university and got a job at a movie theater as an accountant. As a 22 years old young man merage into the society, he is still happy and optimistic as a student, to some extent little immature. Family, culture, friends, personal interests and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and sports, and many other aspects of life. The largest trends I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music' is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering (especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that, although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. In that time she had to endure spitting and urine filled balloons being hurled at her by the protesters. She also talked about the day a pipe bomb was thrown at the parents and children of the school. She said she 'wouldn't wish it on anyone' as she slowly walked off. I couldn't help thinking what a bizarre experience just chatting with the old lady, who was completely open to sharing her experience with me. Improving a specific aspect of community life The aspect of community life I have chosen to explore is the 'drinking culture' within Ardoyne. In the small area that is Ardoyne there are eight pubs, five of which being night clubs. I feel that this environment is contributing to the many issues facing the community of Ardoyne. • 13. How To Write A Biographical Profile Essay Biographical Sketch: Jason Jason is a 22 year old, white, agnostic male. He's the youngest of 5 boys and grew up in a Jehovah's Witness Household with a bi–polar mother and a now emotionally distant father. Up until puberty, he and his parents were very close. His mother was a stay at home parent, and he recalls many instances when they would bake cookies and watch soap operas together. Though his father worked very long hours as a contractor, he found time to take his son out to eat, to plays, and to amusement parks when he could. That isn't to say that the relationship between his parents was loving, as Jason's parents would fight constantly when Jason's dad was home on the weekends. It got so bad that his mother attempted to stab his father and tried to grab his...show more content... Though Veronica is a woman and Jason considers himself mostly attracted to men, her gender is irrelevant as sexuality is not black or white. With that being said, Jason's relationship with Veronica, as well as his past relationships with men, are and were in a state of ambiguity. Veronica, who has a boyfriend, considers herself a straight woman but allows Jason to push the boundary between friends and lovers. Sometimes she is receptive to his advances while other times she outright rejects him. Veronica's occasional receptiveness to Jason's emotional and sexual advances has resulted in Jason forming intense feelings for Veronica. As she is a straight woman, attracted to males who identify as men, Veronica doesn't love Jason the way that Jason loves her. The inconsistency and "on and off" mood of their relationship causes Jason great distress, depression, and anxiety. He feels as though he is constantly in between a friend and lover with Veronica, but doesn't realize that he is consistently ambiguous in many areas of his Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. The Trait Theory Of Personality Essay ESSAY TOPIC: Describe the trait theory of personality. Select one "factor" or "trait" from a prominent trait theory and discuss the relative strengths and weaknesses of someone who strongly exhibits this trait. 1. Introduction Traits are described as the unique and constant characteristic tendencies that shape and influence a person's mood and behaviour (Ewen 2013, p. 110; Olesen, Thomsen & O'Toole 2015, p. 45). Prominent personality psychologists Gordon Allport, authored the first American review of psychological literature on personality and character in 1921, citing numerous sources that involved trait concepts (Barenbaum & Winter 2008, p. 3). Notably, personality psychologists Gordon Allport, Raymond Cattell and Hans Eysenck made important contributions towards the understanding of personality traits that continue to influence modern trait theory (Barenbaum & Winter 2008, p. 12). Drawing from the work of these theorists, Paul Costa and Robert McCrae developed the widely accepted Five Factor Theory (FFT) (Ewen 2013, p. 140; John, Naumann & Soto 2008, p. 120). Neuroticism is one of the basic factors of personality featuring in several trait theories, including the FFT. Further, numerous studies have shown a significant link between negative mental health outcomes and high levels of neuroticism (Lahey 2009, p. 241 & 242). This essay will discuss the trait theory of personality and the outcomes for people who strongly exhibit neuroticism. 2. Body: Prominent personality Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. My Professional Profile Essay After taking the StrenghtsQuest and the Holland Interest Inventory I have realized a lot of points that I've never realized before. I have realized there are certain things that I did know about but I just never justified the interest in knowing about it. After much consideration I'm honestly not sure if my career that I'm looking into is really what is going to fit my profile. I'm going to tell you my top three scores from the Holland Interest Inventory and the top five StrengthsQuest. I took the Holland Interest Inventory first and my top three characteristics that match me are Social, investigative, and Realistic. Starting with the social characteristic, it completely demonstrates me because I love being with people and I have great...show more content... I know that I'm physically strong and I have very aggressive behavior most of the time. I have many goals that are economical because I plan on trying to change the world someday with all I've got. I'm mostly stable, shy, practical, and also athletic. I love sports only because I am able to let out all of the stress that comes with my life most of the time such as running for hours. It says that I would "rarely perform creatively in the arts or sciences." Those were probably the worst subjects I had to take in my whole school career and I never will be able to get a good score in those classes. Now when it comes to the StrengthsQuest it fits me perfectly to what I thought my description was. The first one that I had was adaptability. With this I'm the type of person that goes and takes things day by day. I hate to think about the future unless I have something good that I know is going to come out of it for sure. I also discover new things that are going to happen in the future every day. I also love to just go do something and seize the moment while it lasts. I can potentially be not only spontaneous but very mellow and lay back at the same time. I tend to not like to go days by a schedule and do things the way that they come to me at the beginning of the day. I feel that this is one strength that I completely see myself as. • 16. Essay on Profile of a Person Raphael Colmanette 1 Dr.McDonough 10/16 First Year Writing Clash Of Cultures There are a lot of people around Belmont University with different concepts, different goals, different experiences, different cultures, but most important, different methods of thinking. When I realized that I would need to write a profile of someone else, I thought it would be the easiest essay that I have ever done. Contrary to my expectations, I realized that to write someone else's profile is kind of hard, because it is not only a simple thing such as just write the entire life of the person. A lot of stuff is behind the profile of a person. When I first thought about who I should interview, I was kind of lost, because I do not know a lot of people...show more content... I knew that he was a different guy with a lot of experiences for me to know, but actually he was way more than that. Andrew was born at Bangkok, Thailand. At the time he told me that, I became so interest to know about the culture, and all the differences between there and here. The most interesting thing about Andrew is that he has already lived in few different places and knows a lot of different cultures. He lived there in Bangkok until his six years old, and he had a good life there. He was used to live in a property where his family was the only white family in the whole building, what for me, I think it would be kind of scary, but according to him, it was kind of normal for him and his parents. His dad was used to work for a company back in Bangkok that when Andrew was six, the company changed place to Arizona, United States. With six years, he had already challenged the difficulties of change home to another country, and especially the big change of culture. Andrew was lucky to move when he was only six, because whenever you have more then ten years and had already made a lot of friends, and had already gone to school, it would be much harder to get used to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Personal Communication Profile Psychology of Communication and Relationship Management Personal Communication Profile Communication is something we do without thinking as it comes naturally. As babies we communicate through sign language. Our hands go out to pick a baby up, the baby soon learns that this language of communication gets results. Crying is another form of attention. As babies age they also learn to talk. They soon learn that saying the correct words along with body language, gets them what they want. Communicating with people I find is my strongest asset and using verbal and nonverbal communication can be testing, but beneficial used in the correct way. The most important part of communication is listening. The skill deficit the writer has in communication is concentration. I can overcome this by taking my time documenting data in clearer detail and not rushing. Remembering information is not a strong point within my communication. I have adopted a system where keeping notes and documents is a major help to me. But the best is we all know when we are going through something negative in our life that is when our bond is the strongest. We all come together and each do something for the person who is going through a hard time. Whether that's cooking for someone, taking their dog out, giving people rides places. Those are just a few examples what we do for each other when things get tough .I can honestly say I don't even have family members that would do what the members of the community do or would do for me .Effect of honor and humiliation on community members is never Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Research has focused on social factors that enhance intrinsic motivation finding psychological needs of autonomy, competence, and relatedness contributing to self–motivation (Ryan, 2000).
