2. The sea of ice is a glacier situaded in Chamonix which measures 7 km and 200 m deep.It’s the most important glacier of France.
3. In the past During the XIX-XXth century, the glacier was deeper and longer than today. We could cross the sea of ice to go to Montrevers.
4. PROBLEMS! 1) The shrinkage of the sea of ice: The sea of ice is melting because of the pollution and the global warming .
5. It loses 130m of ice per year and it doesn’t snow enough to make the glacier as long as before.

7. 2) The consequences : The glacier runs down. The direct consequence is that EDF (electricity of France) must review the site to capture water from melting ice to supply hydroelectric power stations .
