customers spread across industries like steel, power, infrastructure and wind energy. The transporter
has worked with several clients like KES International, JSW, Sunvijay Rolling and Engineering Ltd, Tata

Early Life
Pyare Khan did not have a promising childhood. He was born into a low income family .He has two
brothers, a sister and mother in his family. His mother Raisa Khatun struggled to provide basic
necessities for her children. Pyare Khan along with his brothers used to sell oranges at the Nagpur
railwaystation. He wasevendeprivedforgettinghighereducationdue tolackof funds.
Days ofStruggle
As soon as Pyare Khan got a Driving License he joined a courier company as a driver to support his
family. But he had to quit this job because of an accident in Orissa that too at the young age of18. Later
on he boughtan auto rickshawanddrove it onthe roadsof Nagpurdroppingpeople here andthere.
First Venture
He used to play piano as a hobby in a music group called Melody Makers Group .It is there; he learned
the tactics of business. He thought of buying a bus to carry his group to programmer’s venues. He sold
2. some of his instruments and other valuables and bought a bus from that money. But the venture could
not succeed because the busmetwiththe accident.
On the Road of Success
In 2004, he decided to buy a truck. But, to get a bank loan was not a smooth ride for him. When he
approached the Nagpur branch of ING Vysya Bank for loan the branch manager Bhushan Bais, was not
impressed with him. Bais refused to approve him loan, since he was shortage of collateral. Somehow, he
was able to convinced Bais and secured a loan of Rs.11 lack. He bought the truck and repaid the loan
within two years; even two years ahead of the deadline. By 2007, he had a fleet of eight trucks. With the
passingof the year 2010, he had 10 officesandabout500 employeeswere workingunderhim.
In 2013, his company (ARCPL) got registered with an authorized capital of Rs.6cr. It has now become a
company with worth of Rs.4oo crores owning a fleet of 125 trucks and hiring 3000 trucks on daily bases.
The company not only works for Indian customers but delivers consignments for foreign customers also.
Companies like KEC International, JSW Steel, Tata and SAIL are amongst the others in the long list of
clients.
In 2016, Bhushan Bais,branch manager of ING Vysya bank quit the bank job and joined him as Head of
Finance department. In 2019,Khan has got an offer of a loan of Rs. 80crore from UAE based investment
bankImperial Capital L.L.C. Baisledthatassignmentonbehalf of Khan.

In 2018, he got the chance to participate in a contest for young transport entrepreneurs that was jointly
organized by IIM-Ahmedabad and Mahindra Truck & Bus. The contest had 18 participants in all; two of
them were from USA. They all were equipped with laptops and PowerPoint presentations but Khan
simply presented his case in Hindi. There he was awarded as the most distinguished dignitary for his
extraordinaryworkinhisareaof business.

Now days, Khan is focusing on expanding his business and venturing into new areas .He is also learning
the methods and techniques of companies like Tata so that he can provide efficient and innovative
services to his customers. In the words of Khan himself, serving customers to their satisfaction is the
sole mottoof hiscompany.
Right from beginning, Pyare Khan has faced challenges .He wanted to have his business but he lacked
funds for it. Somehow he managed to procure the funds for initial investments; all his early ventures got
failed. Even getting a loan was a big task for him. While delivering consignments he had to lay roads
through deep forests, repaired the weak bridges. Once he took a consignment to deliver in Bhutan.
There the trucks got struck at a welcome arch. They had to dig the ground themselves to clear the path
for trucks. Later on,theyre-laidit.

failures he kept himself calm, compassionate and determined with all focus on accomplishing the goals.
