2. Acid Rain Acid rain can be caused by emissions of carbon dioxide, sulfer dioxide and nitrogen oxide which reacts with water molecules to make acid, it also reacts with oxygen and other substances. These gasses can be caused by cars, factories, and many other things that produce gasses. The most important gas which leads to acidification is sulfur dioxide. Emissions of nitrogen oxides which are oxidized to form nitric acid are of increasing importance due to stricter controls on emissions of sulfur containing compounds.

5. Many other animals that may not be aquatic, may also get effected due to the fact that they may eat an aquatics creature. Like a bird eating a fish.

7. The effects of acid rain, combined with other environmental stressors, leave trees and plants less able to withstand cold temperatures, insects, and terrible disease. This may also inhibit trees' ability to reproduce. Some soils are better able to neutralize acids than others.
