One Small Step for Indonesia

Before I can change the world, I have to change my country. Before I change my country, I
have to change the society, and before I change anyone else, I have to change myself.
Graduate from highschool islike astepto go outside of the house.We'll findthe real adventure and
the beginningof arel life.Togetmy dreams,I have to dosome things. I’ll continue my education to
university andtake “industrialengineering” major. For about 4 years ahead, I’m having a goal to be
a good student.I will concern with my major, join student organizations and activities, and also be
active in society.
I believe,alongmyeducationwhile trying to be a good student, active in organizations and
society, I will find the way to improve myself, my parents, and then all of this I do for my country,
Indonesia. I’m18 yearsoldwhenI joininthe university,andwiththisyoung age, there are so many
chancesthat I can take.I can be a good studentand active in the student council, be active in many
studentactivities,getastudyvisitina company,and take a part in the societylike joiningthe society
forums.
A goodcountry isn’tdeterminedbythe economyconditiononly,butalsoin development of
industrial technology.Withthisindustrialengineering major, I can be an engineer or a research and
technology ministry,andif Icouldbecome one of them, I’ll make Indonesiahave more relationswith
othercountriesin manysectors especiallyforindustrialtechnology,andI’ll make Indonesia be more
develop in industrial and technology. For example, in economy I’ll enlarge Indonesia’s roles in
international industrial market.Intechnology,I will find a new invention in a industrial sector from
natural resources in Indonesia. In education, I’ll make more schools that have cooperation with
other countries in employment of industrial sector.
I’ll make Indonesia’s relations with the other countries be better in industrial sector, take
more rolesininternational,andstuff.Butmostof all I’d be an agentof change for societyaroundme
and I’ll use my power and position to spread the power of education, give people real example on
how a high education can bring a bright future, and I can only do that by gaining a bright future for
my own. That’s the one small step to create a bright future of Indonesia.
