3. Why Khushoo is needed in salah ?
Salat is the foremost form of ibadah that Allah Himself has
prescribed for us.
Perform At - salat for My Remembrance “
surah Taha : 14 When we perform Salat we involve our tongue, our
heart, our mind and indeed our whole body
Salat is indeed, one of the most
comprehensive forms of dhikr.
Allah states in a hadith qudsi: `Out of all the ways through
which My servant gets closer to Me, Salat is the dearest to
Me.' (Bukhari.)we do not always take full
advantage of this gift. We pray five times a day ,we
should develop conscious in
Prayer to take advantage of
this gift.
we have to develop a strong
connection with Allah.
4. Khushoo leads to Success
Successful indeed are the believers , Those who
offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity
and full submissiveness.
Surah Al- Muminun ( 23 ) : 1,2
5. Khushoo means
It is state of mind that contains calmness, serenity,
tranquility, dignity and humility during prayer
Khushoo’ also means that the heart stands before
Allah in humility and submission
6. Khushoo in Action
•Lower your gaze while praying and do not allow
the physical environment to distract you.
•Hadith:
•Anas(RA) related that the Prophet said: `My dear
son, be sure to avoid being distracted during Prayer,
for, to become distracted while praying is a disaster.'
(Tabarani)
8. What we should
thinking about ………
Allah’s Attributes
Allah’s sustenance to us
Our thankfulness to Him
Words in Prayer
9. Why we should be careful About Khushoo?
Prophet Muhammed (peace
and blessings of Allah be
upon him) said: “The first
thing to be lifted up (taken
away) from this Ummah
(Muslims Nation) will be
khushoo’, until you will see
no one who has khushoo’.”
(Reported by Al-Tabaraani)
10. Benefits of
Developing Khushoo
It makes praying easy
And seek help in patience and As-Salat (the
prayer) and truly it is extremely heavy and
hard except for Al-Khashi'un [i.e. the true
believers in Allah - those who obey Allah with
full submission, fear much from His
Punishment, and believe in His Promise
(Paradise, etc.) and in His Warnings (Hell,
etc.)].
Surah
Al – Baqarah
2 : 45
11. Forgiveness and Mighty Reward “…………The men and the women who
guard their chastity and the men and
the women who remember Allah much
with their hearts and tongues (while
sitting, standing, lying, etc. for more
than 300 times extra over the
remembrance of Allah during the five
compulsory congregational prayers) or
praying extra additional Nawafil
prayers of night in the last part of night,
etc.) Allah has prepared for them
forgiveness and a great reward (i.e.
Paradise)”.
Surah Al - Ahzab ( 33 ) : 35
12. Hadith:
Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) said: “Five
prayers which Allah has made
obligatory. Whoever does wudoo’
properly for them, prays them on
time, does rukoo’ properly and
has perfect khushoo’, it is a
promise from Allah that he will be
forgiven, but whoever does not do
this, has no such promise – if
Allah wishes, He will forgive him,
and if He wishes, He will punish
him.”

15. Remembering death while praying
Lessons:
1. Meaning the prayer of one who thinks that he will not pray another prayer.
2. The person who is praying will no doubt die, and there is some prayer that will be his last prayer, so
let him have khushoo’ in the prayer that he is doing, for he does not know whether this will be his last
prayer.
16. Ponder over Recitation
Know the meaning of what you are
reciting
Ponder over the meaning of verses
during prayer

full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that
men of understanding may remember.” Surah Sad (38) :29.

This is more helpful in understanding
and thinking about the meaning of

It is also a Sunnah (example) of the
Prophet Muhammed(pbuh)

Or a little more; and recite the Quran (aloud) in a slow,
(pleasant tone and) style. Surah 73 :4
Hadith:
The recitation of the Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) was clear, with each letter
pronounced distinctly.” (Musnad Ahmad)
19. Look at the
place of prostration
Hadith
Messenger of Allaah (peace and
blessings of Allaah be upon
him) used to pray with his head
tilted forward and his gaze
lowered, looking at the

(O Allaah, I seek refuge with You
from a heart that has no
khushoo’…).”
