Michael asks…
Would you prefer taking AirAsia or Malaysia airlines?
AirAsia is the low cost carrier in Malaysia.Malaysia Airlines is the premier airlines in Malaysia.
Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:
It would depend on the situation. For a short trip (under 3 hours of flight time), I would take
AirAsia over Malaysian Airlines. The differences in the in-flight service would not be too
significant and the price of the ticket of AirAsia would be lower than Malaysian Airlines.
However, for longer trip I would prefer Malaysian Airlines for the ability to choose different class
of service (First Class, Business Class and Economy Class). On these longer trip, the
passenger can travel that is comfortable for their lifestyle and economic means. Being in First &
Business class gives me more room to stretch out and being able to sleep on the flat bed. This
helps in reducing the effects of jet-lag.
So it is like comparing apples and oranges to me. I like both airlines depending on the my
traveling situation.

I am traveling with AirAsia from LCCT to Changi, Singapore. But
my final destination is Paris, France with Air?
I am flying from Kuala Lumpur to Paris via Singapore. I am traveling with AirAsia from LCCT to
Changi, Singapore, then with Air France to Paris. My question is how do I get my baggage
checked through directly to Paris from Kuala Lumpur? Is this possible to do with a budget
airliner without having to go through Immigration and Customs? Thank you.

4. Kaki Cuti Cuti Malaysia answers:
You have to check with the airlines to find out if they have an “interline baggage” agreement. If
yes, you give your luggage to Air Asia in KL and collect it in Paris.
