INTRODUCTION
• Guangdong Province, China (Southern China)
• Investigate the relation -- Between -- Job
Satisfaction, Work stress, work- family conflict and
turnover intention among Physicians.
• Public hospitals had turnover intention -- because of
concerns about burnout, lack of support and chance
of promotion.
 Problem development system.

INTRODUCTION
• Turnover intention – affected:
 Job strain, Workplace violence, Physician burnout, Job satisfaction, Organizational,
Others.
• There was no study on turnover intention among physicians in Guangdong since the most recent
health system reform (2009–2012). After we had our studio.
• In 2009 - fixed basic salary and performance.

INTRODUCTION
• The purposes of this study were:
 Assess the turnover intention of physicians in Guangdong
 Explore the relationship - between - turnover intention and job satisfaction,
work stress and work–family conflict.

METHOD
- Population: 192,107 physicians
- Sample: 3963
- Multistage stratified cluster random sampling

Job satisfaction: 8 items
Work stress: 4 items
Turnover intention: 4 items

- Binary logistic regression : whether the items of
job satisfaction, work stress and work–family
conflict dimensions could significantly affect
turnover intention

urban/rural area, type of institution, and age.
• To reduce turnover intention: focusing on job
satisfaction, work stress and work–family conflict,
especially job satisfaction.
