The document discusses how people are using social media during the COVID-19 pandemic. While some frontline workers continue their important jobs without attention seeking behavior, many privileged people are using social media to complain, show off inconsequential activities like cooking and workouts, and seek approval. This behavior obscures the real challenges faced by healthcare workers, service employees, and others. The document suggests that future historians will see these two distinct groups - those helping selflessly and those using social media mainly for attention - when reviewing society's reaction during this crisis.
2. This presentation is based on
decoding of human behaviour
on Social Platforms. Any
resemblance to actual people
is NOT coincidental but there
is no gender or racial bias.

5. Always ready to blame others… from communism to
capitalism and liberalism to conservatism. From one
country to another. From one religion to another.
6. We laugh and share
stories of people
rushing for toilet
paper.
7. But we rush and stock up on all the
toilet paper we can get when the
crisis hits our neighbourhoods.
12. Cleaning our homes is a monumental
achievement and we need people to
appreciate our cleaning selfies.
13. We are lucky to see
hidden talent surface
through Singing and
Dancing Videos.
14. But we also have to suffer
exponentially large number of
mediocre singers and dancers.
15. We now have
PhD level knowledge
of microbiology,
biotechnology,
virology and
medicine.
16. We are always eager to show off our expertise in engineering,
economics, mathematics and specifically CURVES .
17. Pumping iron has never
been so easy.
Incredible to see perfect
photos without a drop of
sweat after gruelling
home workouts.
18. Cooking is the new Marathon.
Everybody is participating, live
streaming and posting their medals.
19. But Eggs and Bread are the
clear winners by a long margin.
It is assumed that our network
has nothing better to do but to
see our burnt toast photos.
20. We are excited about animals
on the street, beautiful spring
flowers, and cleaner air. We
want to collectively keep it that
way after the lock-down is
over.
But most are shying away from
taking individual actions.
27. Soldiers are still
protecting borders,
foiling terror attacks, and
doing rescue operations.
Police are still doing law
enforcement. And
Firefighters are still
risking their lives.
28. Pilots, Crew, Airport workers who continue to serve in
transporting Cargo and Passengers without refusing to
go to work.
29. The daily wage earners are in tremendous
distress but are still putting up a brave face.
And largely following the lock-down rules.
30. History will judge us on
how we acted and
reacted during this
crisis. Unfortunately
historians will see two
different sections of
society irrespective of
nationality, ethnicity,
colour, religion and
cast.
Second section of
society consisting of
largely privileged
people who were
busy cribbing and
showing off
inconsequential
things on social
networks.
One section of
society consisting of
frontline people who
went about doing
their duties without
complaining or
showing off.
31. The World is in our Hands.
Handle with Care.
