2. I would like to introduce our famous townsman Ruslan Mashchenko,
honoured master of sports.

meter relay, but didn’t reach the finals. In 1997 he reached the Word Cup finals,
in 1998 he won the first places — he took first and second places of the
European Athletics Indoor Championships and the European Championships.
He set two national records in the same year in the indoor 400-meter
race and in the 400-meter hurdle race. In a year in Tampere, Pirkkahalli he
set European record in the 300 meter hurdle race. In 2000 at the Olympics
Mashchenko once again failed to reach the finals of the hurdle race and of the
relay race. In winter World Cup of 2001 Russian team composed of Alexandr

In 2008, Ruslan finished his career and became a coach. Now he is
working at the Sports School Track and Field (SCYSSOR) № 5 to share his vast
experience with young athletes.

number of public works. With
another famous athlete Dmitry
Styepushkin He took part in
Opening Exercises in 2013,

believe he will share his
experience with young athletes so
we’ll soon have many great
athletes ready to represent our
