2. Sport is probably as old as the
mankind itself. I'm fond of sports
because it helps me to be more
organized, strong and healthy.
In my presentation I'd like to tell about
my favourite sportswoman – Yelena
Isinbayeva who is the greatest Russian
pole-vaulter of all time.
3. Elena
Isinbaeva
was born on June, 3
1982 in Volgograd.
She begin to do
sports in the early
childhood.
It was gymnastics first
but at the age of 15
she passed on polevaulter.
4. Yelena became the
first woman to clear
the five-meter barrier
in 2005.
Her current world
record is 5.06 m
outdoors, set in Zurich
in August 2009.
She is one of only nine athlets to win world
championships at the youth, junior, and senior
level of an athletic event.
5. Yelena won her first gold
medal
during
World
juvenile competitions in
1999.
In 2008 she had the
Olympic gold medal in
Bejing.
She won the last
Olympic gold medal in
London in 2012.
6. Yelena has her
own jumping tactics.
She devises jumps
on plan altitude –
warming-up, winning
and record-breaking.
Each jump has has
its own pole – a pink
one for warm-up, a
blue one for the
winnig and a golden
one for a record.
7. At the moment Yelena is the champion of the
world. She finished her sports carrer in summer
2013.She is going to create a family and have a baby.
But all the same she remains a wonderful person and
remarkable athlete.
I respect and like her very much. She is a good
example to follow.
