3. Stahnsdorf
• Area: 49 square kilometres
• Population: 14 350
• In Stahnsdorf there are many schools,
for example the “Heinrich Zille”
primary school and the “Lindenhof”
primary school.
• If you are into sports you can go to a
club, ride horses or you can play
football at the local sports ground.
• An important place is the church of
the village, because it is a very old
building.
• The ‘Südwestkirchhof’ is the burial
place of many famous people and
today also a tourist attraction.
4. Teltow
• Area: 21,5 square kilometres
• population: 23 000
• Here is our school, the
grammar school “Gymnasium
Stahnsdorf”.
• Teltow is famous for its turnips
called “Teltower Rübchen”.
• Founded in the 13th century, it
was a town of wealthy farmers
until the beginning of the 20th
century, when the Teltowkanal
was opened.Then it became a
centre of industy.
5. Kleinmachnow
• Area: 11,9 square
kilometres
• Population: 20 000
• Kleinmachnow has a lot of
famous, places for
example the big lock or the
modern market square
near the townhall.
• There are many schools
and restaurants.
• When you like swimming,
you can go to the outdoor
pool “Kiebitzberge”.
