Corporate Synergy offers an open environment, support for the very latest standards, and
an inbuilt ability to integrate between different systems, allowing for rapid construction of
organization-wide workflows and systems. The system is constructed in three layers by storing
all data and definition records in an SQL Server database, operating the workflow engine by
objects managed in the application server, and constructing the user interface using .NET and
IIS application presented by the IE browser. This methodology insures performance, stability,
and scalability, while keeping software, hardware, maintenance, and development expenditure
to a minimum.

Corporate Synergy adopts a simple methodology when executing a business process as a
workflow solution. Working in conjunction with Casewise’s globally adopted modeling tool the
Corporate Modeler Suite, users have the total and complete solution to map, model and execute
a process workflow in a very short timescale. The seamless integration between Corporate
Synergy and Corporate Modeler promotes rapid process adoption and allows users to effectively
analyze and create process models within the Corporate Modeler Suite and then initiate, monitor
and complete the executable business process within Corporate Synergy.

In order to execute a business process with Corproate Synergy a user is firstly required to
design a process flow using Corporate Modeler. The process flow specifies both high level
diagrams which are decomposed to lower levels highlighting the different notations for different
purposes and stakeholders. The workflow is then modeled within Corporate Modeler whereby
a simple process flow is constructed with a single business rule. Next, the model (process flow)
