Frugal innovation is about lowering the complexity and cost of
producing a product-in a scalable and sustainable manner.
i. it entails making better things, not just cheaper things.
ii. frugal innovation extends to services, not just products.
iii. frugal innovation is about remodelling, not just de–featuring.
iv. low cost does not mean low–tech: frugal innovation can require,
or be combined with science and technology.
