2. Psalm 19:1-6
The heavens declare the glory of
God, and the sky above proclaims his
handiwork. Day to day pours out
speech, and night to night reveals
knowledge. There is no speech, nor
are there words, whose voice is not
heard. Their voice goes out through
all the earth, and their words to the
end of the world.
3. Psalm 19:1-6
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
which comes out like a bridegroom
leaving his chamber, and, like a
strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the
heavens, and its circuit to the end of
them, and there is nothing hidden
from its heat.
4. 1. God Reveals Himself in His Creation (1-6)
“The heavens declare
the glory of God,
and the sky above
proclaims his handiwork.”
Psalm 19: 1
5. “The heavens declare the
glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims
his handiwork.” Psalm 19: 1
11. Romans 1:20, “For
his invisible
attributes, namely,
his eternal power
and divine nature,
have been clearly
perceived, ever
since the creation
of the world, in
the things that
havebeen made.
So they are without
excuse.”
15. Psalm 19:7-8
The law of the LORD is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the LORD is sure,
making wise the simple;
the precepts of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the LORD is
pure, enlightening the eyes;

21. The Bible is a precious gift!
►Let’s consider some other Bible analogies
about God’s special revelation of Himself
through the Scriptures:
22. Sword
Eph. 6:17, “and take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God.”
23. Two-edged Sword
Heb 4:12, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper
than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul
and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the
thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
24. Lamp & Light
Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp
to my feet and a light to my path.”
25. Bread
Matthew 4:4, But [Jesus] answered,
“It is written, 'Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that
comes from the mouth of God.'"
26. Milk
1 Peter 2:2-3, Like newborn infants,
long for the pure spiritual milk, that
by it you may grow up into salvation--
if indeed you have tasted that the
Lord is good.
28. Water
by the washing of water with the word, so that he might
present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or
wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without
blemish.” Ephesians 5:25-27
31. Sometime our hearts are hard as stone!
We need the word of God like fire,
water, and a hammer to break it up!
32. 3. God’s revelation demands a response – Fear (9-14).
9 The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever.
The decrees of the LORD are firm,
and all of them are righteous.
10 They are more precious than gold,
than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
than honey from the honeycomb.
11 By them your servant is warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.
12 But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.
14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
