Incoming and Outgoing Shipments in 1 STEP Using Odoo 17
Conventions of a thriller
1. What do we as an audience
expect from a thriller?
2. The use of music:
This can involve either the use of diagetic/non-diagetic sound and the
soundtrack.
For example, through playing the iconic theme tune whenever danger and
death is close by in “Jaws”, audiences started to associate the haunting
violin twangs with an upcoming demise.
3. Tension can be raised effectively through the use of camera shots and angles.
By placing the camera in a position where the audience can see both the
victims and the upcoming threat, it creates a feeling of helplessness and
empathy towards the victims.
4. By allowing the audience to catch a glimpse of a shadow, it often implies a
sinister threat is present. Lighting is also key in setting the scene, as a bright
environments are often associated with genres such as comedy, whereas
dark, dimly lit environments add to the atmosphere of thriller and horror
scenes.
5. Costume and props are very important, as they establish the roles of certain
characters, and often foreshadow certain events. For instance, if the
camera panned and focused on a knife lying dormant on a table, the
audience may assume that a stabbing will occur in a short while.
