2.  Adidas is a German sportswear company, which is
stated by Adi Dassler, in Bavaria in 1924. In the fact,
the brand he set up was Gebrüder Dassler
Schuhfabrik, Adidas was used as a brand name until
1949 (adidas, HISTORY). There is also another famous
Germany sportswear company, Puma, which is set up
by Adi Dassler’s brother, they conflicted each other
for over 80 years (BARRETT, 2008). What an
interesting story!

sportswear company in the world and the largest in
Europe, and the revenue of Adidas is 17.67 billion US
dollar in 2014 (Portal).

into three main small brands: Adidas
Performance was for the athlete; Adidas
Originals was designed to focus on fashionable life-
style ; and Style Essentials, for the fashion market; Y-3
is the main brand of it (Y-3 is a cooperation brand
between Adidas and famous Japanese fashion
designer Yohji Yamamoto - the Y meansYamamoto
and the 3 means the main logo of Adidas) (Group,
