REGULAR VERBS
We form the Past Simple of regular verbs by
adding –ed to the verb:
Walk walked
Open opened
Watch watched
Ask asked
For example:
We walked to the park yesterday.
He played tennis last week.

5. IRREGULAR VERBS
Many verbs have an irregular Past Simple form:

Eat Ate
For example:
I went to the cinema yesterday.
She bought a pair of shoes

6. NEGATIVE
We need the auxiliar verb to form the
negative, but in the past the auxiliar
verb is
Did
For example:
I didn’t like the film.
You didn’t understand the message.
He didn’t play tennis last week.

7. INTERROGATIVE
We need the auxiliar verb to make
questions, and this auxilar verb in the
past is
Did
For example:
Did you go to the party?
Did they play a football match?
Where did you buy this nice dress?
What did you do last summer?

8. Last : pasada (ex. last night,
last week, etc.)
Ago: hace… (ex. two years ago)
Yesterday: ayer
In (+ date).
On (+ day of the past).
