Project Idea                      Students in teams will create an animated fairy tale that either tells a story, embodies a moral, or provides a mythical “global
Summary of the issue,             explanation” such as how the world was created, where rainbows come from, what stars are, etc. The presentation can be
challenge, investigation,         cartoon, live action (acted,) a video of a book, etc. Students will develop concrete, identifiable characters. The background of their
scenario, or problem:
                                  characters will be culture specific, even if it is a made-up culture. Students may choose an existing tale if the setting, characters,
                                  and especially the end, is altered.
