built for a little girl in the US whose family
did not have the means to pay for a real
prosthesis – in particular due to the child’s
growth.
Using 3D printing, doctors created an
artificial windpipe for a 6-week old baby
whose left bronchial tube collapsed on a
daily basis, preventing him from breathing;
ultimately saving his life.
