4. The Texas STaR Chart was developed by the
State of Texas around the Long-Range Plan for
Technology.
The four key areas of the Long-Range
Technology Plan that are assessed include:

Educator Preparation
Administration and Support
Infrastructure
5. Technology excellence is mandated by
federal and state law.
States must report student and
teacher progress yearly in order to
meet the terms of the Texas Long
Range Plan for Technology.
All students must achieve technology
proficiency by 8th grade.
