more hours of stamping
18. Done!... the second batch of 100,000 coupons
(from 1 million needed) ….But the story of the
coupons does not end here..
19. The coupons were escorted
to ensure they reached their
destination.
20. At La Isabela Airport, UNHAS
facilitated the transport of the
coupons (the rabbit boxes were a strategic
disguise)
21. And finally the second batch of coupons reached Haiti on a Friday
afternoon . They were transported to WFP offices to be immediately
put to use.
22. WFP partner, World Vision, had
previously handed food
coupons to each beneficiary…
23. …And on Saturday March 6, WFP started the distribution
of complete food rations to more than 4 million Haitians.
24. Thanks to the coupons these women
and their families are able to receive
food in a secured and organized
manner.
25. They received a second coupon for
the following day’s distribution of
CSB, oil, pulses, sugar and salt.
26. An so, every single minute of our work, no matter
how small, tiring or insignificant it seems, makes a
huge difference in someone else’s life.
We made it happen!
