1. Last lesson we looked at components of fitness. This lesson we will look at how
lifetstyle choices can affect our health and fitness
·All students should be able to identify 4 lifestyle choices
·Most students should be able to explain the effect of these choices on health
and fitness
·Some students should be able to explain individual differences in fitness
2. Lifestyle Choices
In your book, pages 12 - 15, you will find 4 lifestyle choices:
·Physical activity/exercise
·Diet
·Work/life balance
·Smoking
Each group will research 1 topic, using your textbook and the internet. You have
40 minutes to construct a 10 minute presentation for the rest of the class.
Make sure your presentation is shareable, PowerPoint, Word or handwritten
NEATLY as we will be copying it for the whole class.
3. Homework
Using all of the information you have seen and heard today you should first check
that you have enough detailed notes on all four lifestyle choices. Remember to
check the VLE for further information.
Complete your glossary cards for the whole of Chapter One.
Finally you have an end of topic review worksheet that recaps all of the information
so far and includes the Revise as You Go questions for this chapter.
Work through this worksheet and hand it in before this lesson next week.
