• Bauer Media joined the Bauer Media Group in January 2008.The Group employs 6,400 people.Their magazine heritage stretches
back to 1953 with the launch of Angling Times and the acquisition in 1956 of Motor Cycle News, both still iconic brands within their
portfolio.The radio business started in 1990 with the acquisition of London dance station Kiss FM (now called Kiss 100), followed by
the acquisition of Liverpool's Radio City and later byTWC and the Metro Group.Then came Melody FM which was transformed
into the market-leading Magic 105.4. In 1994, the company bought a small magazine called For Him Magazine which is now the core
of the best-selling international multi-platform brand FHM. In 1996, they acquired digital music TV channel The Box, as a route into

3. • KERRANG!‘s first issue was released on the 6th of June 1981. From my
own knowledge I know that the target audience of KERRANG! is those
who are into rock/metal/screamo music. KERRANG! is a music
magazine, radio station and television channel so the target audience
can read the articles in the magazine, listen to the music whilst in the
car on the radio and watch the music videos at home on television
channel.
The first issue of Q came out in October 1986. Q is a magazine published
monthly and also a radio station. Q features new releases (music), reissues
(music), music compilations, film and live concert reviews, as well as radio
and television reviews; this therefore meaning that Q has a wide target
audience.

• Who are they?
• Future plc is a media company. In 2006, it was the ranked the sixth-largest media corporation in the United Kingdom. It
publishes more than 180 magazines in fields such as video games, technology, automotive, cycling, films and
photography. Future is the official magazine company of all three major games console manufacturers.The company
also owns the US company, Future US.

• The company was founded as Future Publishing in Somerton, Somerset in 1985 by Chris Anderson with the sole magazine
Amstrad Action. In September 2013, Future announced it would cut 55 jobs from its UK operation as part of a restructuring to
adapt "more effectively to the company's rapid transition to a primarily digital business model."The company announced in March
2014 that it will close all of its U.S.-based print publications and shift US print support functions such as consumer marketing,
production and editorial leadership for Future's international print brands to the UK. Future won the
