Notes: Conjunctions
A conjunction is a word that joins a word or groups of words together.
CONJUNCTIONS: and, or, for, nor, but, yet, so
EXInsects and crustaceans have eyes with many lenses.

There are two types of Conjunctions: Coordinating & Correlating
Coordinating Conjunctions are: and, or, for, nor, but, yet, so
EX I ordered pizza, breadsticks, and root beer.
You can have two or three slices of pizza.
I like you, but I hate your sister.
Correlating Conjunctions are pairs of words that connects words used in same way.
These are sets of conjunctions separated by words, either subjects or objects.
Correlating Conjunctions both…and, either…or, not only…but also, neither…
nor, whether…or
EX Their eye lenses are not only long, but also cylindrical.
EX Either you clean your room, or you are not going to the party.
EXNot only are you a trouble maker, but also a psychopath.

ASSIGNMENT: LN pg. 160, 1-10 write the conjunction in each sentence
along with the word or words it joins.
