Observation will be carried out while the kids are 
singing and saying rhymes, having simple conversation 
taught, doing role plays, being engaged in reading 
simple books, recognizing words taught, etc. 
The teachers will be observing the children throughout 
the year during the learning and teaching process, in 
order to assess their development in terms of Listening & 
Speaking, Reading and Writing skills.

(e.g. reading text, saying rhymes, 
story books, word recognition) *

Reading Program

• Reading program starts in October. 
• Please sign the reading check list for your child. 
• Please remind your child to read and return the 
book on Wednesday. 
•$150 is to be paid for any lost book
Online Reading Program

Homework 
• Homework includes:Reading & Writing 
• 10 Minutes per day 
• No homework on weekend & holiday 
• Weekly Character assessment on Wednesday 
(Parent’s signature)
How to support? 
Communicate with Chinese teacher 
Check Diary for Homework & 
Blog Subscription 
Supervise homework/On line reading 
If your child is struggling in the class, I will 
contact you regularly. If you think your child is 
struggling, please let me know. I prefer he or 
she come to see me at 2:20 pm on Thursday.
