2. •Patty Wente currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of The
Wente Group, a consulting firm based in St. Louis. Prior to forming The Wente
Group, Patricia Wente worked as Senior Vice President of Business Solutions for
Group 720, a strategic communications and marketing organization. Beyond her
professional responsibilities, Patty Wente maintains membership in several
organizations, including the St. Louis Women’s Forum and the St. Louis Press
Club. Below is a brief overview of the St. Louis Press Club’s Fellowship Program.
3. •The St. Louis Press Club is a group of journalism professionals who make and cover the
news in the St. Louis region. The organization is comprised of anchors, columnists, editors,
news directors, and reporters, as well as public relations and advertising professionals. The
St. Louis Press Club Fellowship Program awards grants up to $10,000 to individuals who
research and report on local civic issues that would otherwise not be covered. Journalists of
any age who work for a news organization or work as freelancers in St. Louis are eligible to
apply.
