OUR GUIDING VALUES - THE LIFEPOINTE STATEMENTS
Recognizing God's call on each church to impact the world, we alsorecognize that like a puzzle piece,
each church takes on a different shape as it seeks to live out that calling. The following values are the
DNA of LifePointe and form the culture and context of our church.
L __________________ in action – Practical, tangible, continual paying it forward
This is how we know what loveis: Christ gave his lifefor us. We too, then, ought to lay down our lives for
our brothers and sisters! If we havepossessions and see others in need, yet close our hearts against them,
how can we claimthat we loveGod? Our love must not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which
show itself in action! (1 John 3:16-18 - GNB)
I____________________________ pathways to growth – Grand slam believers
Let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity. (Hebrews 6:1 - NIV)
Markout a straight path . . . then stick to the path and you will stay safe. (Proverbs 4:26 - NLT)
F______________________ focused – “OGCDT” goals (Only God Can Do That!)
What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is thecertainty
that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead . . . You can never please
God without faith, without depending on him. (Hebrews 11:1, 6 – LB)
2. E________________________________ members – Every member is a minister
The eye can never say to the hand, “I don't need you.” The head can't say to the feet, “I don't need you.”
Infact, some of the parts that seem least important are really the most necessary . . . all of you together
areChrist's Body, and each oneof you is a separate and necessary part of it. (1 Corinthians 12:21-22, 27 -
NLT)
P____________________________ to start over – Second Chance Grace Place
I’mhere inviting outsiders, not insiders—aninvitationto a changed life,
changed insideand out. (Luke 5:30-32 - MSG)
Warmly welcome each other into the church, just as Christ has warmly welcomed you;
then God will beglorified! (Romans 15:7 - LB)
O_________________________ discipleship - Going deeper/growing stronger
God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love—like Christ in everything. We take
our lead from Christ, who is thesource of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very
breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love.
(Ephesians 4:15-16 - MSG)
I_____________________ outreach – Developing a “whatever it takes” mindset
I becomea servant to everyone so that I can winthem to Christ . . . Whatever a person is like, I try to find
common ground with him so that he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him. I do this to
get the Good News to them and for the blessing I receive when I see them come to Christ. (1 Corinthians
9:19-23 - LB)
N_________ generation commitment – Not just for the future but for right now
Jesus: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the
kingdom of heaven . . . Be careful! Don't make the mistake of thinking that little children are
unimportant.” (Matthew 18:3, 10 - NIV/NCV)
T_______________________________________ is better - We rather than me
Sincewe areall one body inChrist, webelong to each other,
and each of us needs all the others. (Romans 12:5 - NLT)
You should be like one big family, full of sympathy toward each other . . . (1 Peter 3:8 - LB)
E___________________________________ - It honors God and inspires people
Whatever workyou do, do your best. (Ecclesiastes 9:10 – ICB)
