Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will
reap the consequences.”
ACTIVATE!
This week as you’re going to school or hanging out with your friends influence them
to speak words of life instead of words of death. You could say something really
simple like, “You do ____________ really well.” Or, “Let me tell you why I love being
your friend.” Or, “You shouldn’t talk that way about yourself because I know what’s
actually true about you. You are important to me.”
MY WORLD: How this truth impacts the world around you.
The world is not used to people who are generous simply because they love Jesus
and the people around them. We can give freely because we have relationship with
God, and He is our Provider.
ACTIVATE!
As a group, pick a safe public location and do a car wash for free. Don’t set a price
and don’t accept donations. When people ask, you could say something like, “We’re
just doing it to help the community.” As you serve the people around you by
scrubbing bumpers and washing windows, ask God to touch these people with His
Spirit and bring them closer to Him. Ask God to help people realize His generous love
for them.

you may carry against authority and ask Him to give you opportunities to be a

If we want to have influence in our city, we have to be willing to love the people who
live and work there.
ACTIVATE!
Do you know your city? With a friend, get out into your city and “discover” it in a
new way. The point is to learn about your city so you can understand and appreciate
it and be in a better position to pray God’s heart for its people and structures.
MY WORLD: How this truth impacts the world around you.
Why do we serve authority? We don’t do it to look good or “get points” with them,
but we serve authority because that is what Jesus modeled for us.
ACTIVATE!
Who is an authority figure in your life? Pick someone, and then go to that person and

through His Word. He can also speak through the input of a friend — the key is to
pay attention. This week, write down the encouraging words He has given you. Go
over them every day until you are saturated in hope for that situation and ask God to
make them real to you. Put your faith in Him fully and watch as He does impossible
things.
MY FRIENDS: How this truth impacts your friends.
Our faith grows as we love one another and learn about God together. “Faith come
comes from hearing” (Rom. 10:17) others share their testimonies of God’s good
news.
ACTIVATE!
This week, get together with some of your Christian friends specifically to build up
your faith together. Take turns sharing what God has done for you, both the “big”
things and the “small” things. Also plan to share one thing that God has done for you
with a non-believing friend.
MY WORLD: How this truth impacts the world around you.
You can be “a city on the hill” (Matt. 5:14) very easily. You don’t have to have one of
those personal testimonies that makes people cry because it’s so amazing. Your
story is just as impacting as any other — because it is about how Jesus is real to you.
ACTIVATE!
This week, make a plan to get your story out into the world for people to see. You
could record a video and put it on Facebook, YouTube, or a video blog. You could
write out your personal testimony and share it with your friends or post it online.
Just get it out there.

  • 3. Do you have any “dark” thoughts about yourself, your life, or your worth in God’s eyes? This week, read Matthew 18:12-14 and ask God what it means for you personally. Ask Him how He intends to use you to impact and help change the lives around you. MY FRIENDS: how this truth impacts your friends. ACTIVATE! This week, spend some time with Jesus and ask Him which of your non-Christian friends He wants you to show His love to. Ask Him for specifics. On top of whatever specific thing He tells you to do, commit to praying regularly for this friend. MY WORLD: How this truth impacts the world around you! ACTIVATE! What do you want to see changed in your city or school? This week, get together with a small group of friends and pray for the transformation you want to see happen. Write down the things you pray for, and at the end of this eight-week curriculum, go over this list with that same group of people and see how things have changed in response to your prayers. This week, be intentional and step out of your comfort zone. With a friend, show the love of Jesus to a person who does not know Him. Don’t set a price and don’t accept donations. This week, ask God to give you His heart concerning leadership and authority (1 Tim. 2:1-2). Repent for any bitterness you may carry against authority and ask Him to give you opportunities to be a blessing to the authorities in your life, just as Daniel was. • 12. Teaching Point 2: The _________ __________ of faith.  Faith in a supernatural God enables us to find truth in this life. Teaching Point 3: What does it _________ to ____ a game changer?  As game changers, we carry God’s light and hope everywhere we go (Matt. 28:19). o We change the game through prayer (Acts 4:31). o We change the game by making sure we are ready (2 Cor. 9:24). o We change the game through following Jesus (John 15:8). God, your God, is with you every step you take” (Josh. 1:9). 2. “[Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is” (Jer. 17:7). 3. “No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it” (Rom. 10:11). PRAY! When faith is fully alive within us, we have hope for every impossible situation (Matt. 17:20). This week, take some time to allow God to speak to you about a situation in your life that is difficult. God can speak to you through His still, small voice or through His Word. He can also speak through the input of a friend — the key is to pay attention. This week, write down the encouraging words He has given you. Go over them every day until you are saturated in hope for that situation and ask God to make them real to you. Put your faith in Him fully and watch as He does impossible things. MY FRIENDS: How this truth impacts your friends. Our faith grows as we love one another and learn about God together. “Faith come comes from hearing” (Rom. 10:17) others share their testimonies of God’s good news. ACTIVATE! This week, get together with some of your Christian friends specifically to build up your faith together. Take turns sharing what God has done for you, both the “big” things and the “small” things. Also plan to share one thing that God has done for you with a non-believing friend. MY WORLD: How this truth impacts the world around you. You can be “a city on the hill” (Matt. 5:14) very easily. You don’t have to have one of those personal testimonies that makes people cry because it’s so amazing. Your story is just as impacting as any other — because it is about how Jesus is real to you. ACTIVATE! This week, make a plan to get your story out into the world for people to see. You could record a video and put it on Facebook, YouTube, or a video blog. You could write out your personal testimony and share it with your friends or post it online. Just get it out there. Notes or Pers onal Reflection
