* for healing and pain relief for Larry Rees who had
major surgery last Friday to remove cancer;
* for no surgery needed for Matt VanderPlow who
was hit recently by a car and will have an MRI of his
leg on Tuesday;
* for Cris Hoppa’s grandson, Skyler Kite, who was in
a long-boarding accident on 4/20 and has facial
injuries and a severe concussion;
* for continued healing for those who had recent
surgeries: Marti Dibkey and Jenn Van Dyke;
* for Tobin Crook to feel good during his months of
maintenance treatments for cancer and to be able to
attend school and participate in fun activities;
* for divine healing for John Feyereisen who may
require a 3rd brain surgery as the cancer is slowly
growing. He is scheduled for another MRI in mid-
May to determine how best to proceed;
* for our homebound including Ray Reidsma, Mary
Carmichael and Kay Everett;
* for our Prayer Families of the week: Larry & Angie
Rees, Ray Reidsma, Allen & Ethel Riemersma, and

PROTECTION SEMINAR MAY 15 If you help with or would like to
help with any Parkside’s children's ministries (youth group, children’s

SUNDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY Please join us tonight from 6-7 pm
as we continue our series “Ten Proofs,” based on Bob Dutko’s teachings.
The topic tonight is 10 Proofs of America’s Christian Heritage. Join us
tonight and every Sunday evening through May 29 for a time of fellowship
and study of God’s Word. The topic next Sunday will on dinosaurs.
SECRET HEART SISTER “REVEAL” NIGHT If you’re a Secret Heart
Sister, plan to come to a Salad Supper this Tuesday, May 3, at 6:30 pm at
the church and learn who your Secret Heart Sister is. If you have not
RSVP’d yet to Cris Hoppa or Lisa Kimbel, please do so TODAY.
ELDERS MEETING The Elders of the congregation are meeting today
from 7:30-8:30 pm to develop the “Every Soul Matters” structure. The
Elders are working on a plan that would provide care, protection, and
provision for each person that makes Parkside Bible Church their home
church. More details will be coming in the weeks to come. Continue to
pray for these men as they work together to oversee the spiritual needs
of our congregation.
GOLF FOR MEN & WOMEN We are attempting to provide a Tuesday golf
event starting this Tuesday and playing at different golf courses through-
out the summer. If you are interested in playing 9 holes of golf, getting
some good exercise and enjoying some great fellowship, plan to join us
every Tuesday at 2:00 pm. The approximate cost for 9 holes with a cart is
$20. Talk to Doug Dibkey (399-1504) if you are interested or would like
more information. You can also sign up at the Welcome Center.
KIDS’ GAMES LEADERSHIP MEETING If you are available to help with
Kid’s Games being held June 20-24 or would like more information to see
where you can fit in, please plan to attend a meeting this Thursday (5/5)
at 7:00 pm in Room A3 at the church. See insert for more information.
3 G’s (God’s Gifted Gals) Come to “Farewell Walking Taco Night” on
Friday, May 6, at the church. This is the last gathering until fall. No
charge-everything is provided! Come & fellowship with other ladies.
LADIES DINNER & GAME NIGHT Sign up at the Women’s Ministry
Counter for dinner and games at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20. Dinner will
be at James Street Inn then join us back at the church for simple games
and snacks. It’s a great opportunity to meet other ladies of the church!

LIFE LINE SCREENING AT PARKSIDE Life Line Screening, a leading provider of com-
munity-based preventive health screening, will be offering screening at Parkside on 5/31.
Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to: blocked
arteries which is the leading cause of stroke, abdominal aortic aneurysms which can lead
to a ruptured aorta, hardening of the arteries in the legs which is a strong predictor of
heart disease, atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to stroke risk
and bone density screening for men and women used to assess the risk of osteoporosis.
Register for a Wellness Package which includes 4 vascular tests and osteoporosis
screening from $149 ($139 with our member discount.) All 5 screenings take 60-90
