Occurrence:
Today around 09:00, Received a call from Apt DM Ms. Khin that while the in house guest of 1024 Mr. TOMA
DANIEL was reversing his car (Mercedes , black color, 17298 AD ), he hit the base of the big pillar at Shangri-
la Residence, block-c (reception area) and it got damaged (cracked), F/O staff Mr. Ibrahim has seen what has
happened as he was standing at the glass door, he has approached the guest to speak to him but the guest
was in a hurry, and asked him that he would come back and discussed that with the concern persons.

Action:
       Photos have been taken
       DE has been informed to estimate the cost of the damages to follow-up with the guest.
       As per DE that he would call the concern company to send the technician for estimating the cost of
       the damages.
       The guest has come back at 17:00, DM and ASM met the guest and offered to call the police for that to
       let the insurance company repair his car and the pillar but the guest refused and said that his car was
       OK and he would handle that and regarding the damage of the pillar, the guest informed DM to get
       the company to estimate the cost for that damages and to get back to the guest with the full details
       and he would pay the charges.
       DM has called DE to follow-up regarding the estimation for that damages to get back to the guest
       before starting repairing the damages.
       On 21st May 2011 the guest has called SAAED at 18:00 to report about the accident as he said that the
       contractor advised him to get the police report..

Conclusion:

              The in house guest of 1024 was the one who hit the pillar by his car while he was driving it
               and base of the pillar got damaged (cracked) as it is shown in the below attached photos.
              The guest has asked DM & ASM not to call the police and to estimate the cost for the damages
               then to get back to him for paying the charge before starting repairing the damages.
              The guest’s car got some small scratches and dents at the backside ( please find out the below
               attached photos )
              DM has called DE to estimate the cost for the damages and to get back to him.
              DM would follow-up with DE then with the guest.
              On 21st May 2011 Saaed has been came and gave the report under accident number
               037411052118169 and he withdraw the guest driving license until he got a clearance letter
               from the hotel.
