2. IDEA 1- Chaos Theory (AKA Butterfly Effect) (not the title)
Narrative: The average college student going on about their normal day. However this kid isn’t average and his days
aren’t normal as he foresees the future. Every decision he cares about he can see the consequences but it does not
always go his way like it should. Watch a day in the life of Edward in the way he sees it. Watching his decisions before
they even happen. Lets hope he doesn’t do something stupid.
Representation: Typical stereotypes, average teenage boy being slightly nerdy and smart yet clumsy.
Genre: Dramatic Thriller Comedy. (the kid goes through a lot of stuff)
Audience: 15 and up. Target audience would be around 16-21 year olds. People who can relate to the main
character.
Characters: 1 main character and 3-5 other characters to use as plot devices demonstrating the idea of chaos theory
(each decision has its consequence).
Theme: Playing God.

other. Never had an issue with his family and never had a bad time making friends.

some smart trousers and a collared shirt.

7. IDEA 2- Recces
● As my short film is based on a pair of teenagers in
love, most of the filming will be based in realistic
locations, such as their homes.
● They would spend most of their time watching movies
and eating food indoors on weekends, which is a
portrayal of a stereotypical teenager.
8. IDEA 3 - The Boy Behind Bars
Narrative- One boy, Isaac, encounters something he could have never imagined on his way to school one morning, a hidden entity
trapped behind the locked gates of an underpass. The spirit is the figure of a teenage boy, Matthew, who was recently stabbed and
murdered in the location in which he now resides. The two develop a weird but wonderful relationship as they complete favours for
each-other in order to release Matthews’ soul to heaven, as he is currently trapped. In return, Matthew passes on his vital knowledge
of the afterlife to help Isaac gain contact with his brother, who died tragically in a car accident 2 years previously.
Representation - stereotypes of supernatural beings, stereotypical representation of lazy, uninterested teenager

and bludgeoned him with a hammer, warning him that if he
continued dealing, he would be killed. With no other option,
Matthew continued his dealing, until he was stabbed and
murdered brutally in this underpass one evening, by the same
man. The man hasn’t been caught by authorities yet.
Costume - Tattered clothes, ripped and blood stained, bruises
omnipresent on his now skinny and ill face. Clothes far too big
for him, representing how he is shrinking away and losing
himself.
