Founded in 1985, CWFI focuses on granting wishes of
children up to age 18 who have life-threatening diseases. It
assists parents in fulfilling the wishes of their child, with help
such as tickets, accommodations, and volunteer support.
Every wish is unique - CWFI asks only that they represent the
genuine wishes of the child. Once that is known, the staff
creates a one-of-a-kind package tailored to the recipient’s
desires.

small surprises along the way.
Volunteers understand that not all children can voice their
wishes, due to their age or cognitive limitations. The
foundation gives these children a choice of digital media with
content selections, dolls and toys, activity-oriented books and
puzzles, and items of use to the family, such as rocking chairs
or blankets. CWFI also provides “just because” items for
children undergoing specific procedures.
Additionally, the organization cares for families after the main
wish has been granted. Examples of this service include
family dinners, cultural events, and weekend travel packages,
all offered as diversions during difficult times.
