1. Race for
Autism
Our Mission:
Our mission at Race for Autism is to
raise money to help families is need.
Last year walk for autism raised over
$3,000 dollars to raise awareness for
autism. We want everyone to come
out and walk for Autism. in 2015 over
3000 people walked to raise aware-
ness for Autism, we’re hoping this
year we can pass that.
What is Autism?
Autism affects many children and adults worldwide ev-
eryday. Roughly 70 million people worldwide are affect-
ed by autism. Autism is a development disorder which
impairs the way a child communicates and interacts.
Autism is based on a spectrum where the child can have
mild to very severe symptoms. Some
symptoms of Autism include: lack of social skills, obses-
sive behavior, and repetitve behavior.
2. What if my child has autism?
There is a lot you can do as a parent if your child
has autism. Autism is a developmental disorder
in which the child lacks social skills.
You always want to promote social interaction
between your child and other children. If you
realize early your child may have autism, you can
place them in the proper care early on helping
with their social abilites. If your child has Autism
and you plan on walking, you automatically re-
cieve a free t shirt and a $20 starbucks gift card.
