Development
Agency
of
the
Bilbao
Council.
• Bilbao
has
got
about
7.000
shops
which
represent
16
%
of
the
whole
amount
of
businesses
and
10
%
of
the
employement.
• Due
to
the
importance
of
this
sector,
both
at
an
economic
and
social
level,
the
CiB
project
(Bilbao
Innova-ve
Retailers)
has
been
set
in
mo-on.

3. Living
Lab
Partnership
• Its
main
goal
is
to
promote
and
implement
innova-on
in
the
retail
trade
of
the
city
of
Bilbao.
In
order
to
achieve
these
goals,
CIB
has
got
several
tools
available:
– An
open
blog
with
informa-on
daily
updated
about
innova-on
and
trade
(cibilbao.com).
– A
retailer`s
community
who
meet
periodically
and
par-cipate
in
the
campaigns.
– An
agreement
with
the
Businesses
Associa5on
of
the
Centre
of
Bilbao
to
use
its
space
as
a
Show-­‐Lab,
where
suppliers
can
introduce
innova-ve
products
and
services
for
the
retail
(
mobile
applica-ons,...).
– Coopera-on
agreement
with
Tecnalia
to
apply
technological
innova5ons
in
the
retailers
of
the
community.
