Colombian TEFL Action Plan

Research Question: How can recyclable materials be transformed into Art to save the planet?
Strategy: Promote collaborative learningteamwork “realize how plasticbottles, bags and all recyclable material canbecome useful to
protect the environment; Ss can lead written and oral campaigns to transform plastic into Art in an exhibition at school.
What steps must be taken to accomplish this strategy?
1. Colleagues´ Socialization – “English Project – TEFL Action Plan”
2. Awareness related to recycling, reduce and reuse (plastic, bags, paper).- Conference
and recycling workshop “Operadores de aseo, Bogotá Limpia”
3. Contact “Sanar”, its main goal is to help children with cancer. This foundation will get
a conference / speech to teachers and high school students about recycling and how to
contribute to save children´s lives and the planet, “reduce and reuse caps, plastic, bags
and paper.
4. Ss will register of sequence ofphotos since Ss start the project until the project is totally
done. Ss will create their time line, schedule, blog.
5. Discuss about Global warming, using videos and pictures. Ss will be organized in groups
of four in order to design a Draft, using an ICT presentation, Ss have to look for causes
and consequences and possible solutions to stop Global Warming, Ss will write articles
using Modal verbs related to recycling procedure.
6. Ss.Will do the presentation about how to contribute inorder to recycle, reuse and reduce plastic,
bags, and paper.
7. Ss will be organized in groups 3 or 4, they will select a recyclable material in order to design a
DRAFT ART MODEL, or a recyclable material to be reused into a useful object, it will help Ss to
visualize and lead a potential functional business to be done in Colombia and other countries.

What steps must be taken to accomplish this strategy?
8. Ss will write and describe the materials and the purpose of the object theyhave
chosen for the ART MODEL.
9. Ss will do a short presentation using ICT “mind maps, infographic, Ss will introduce the
materials, purpose of the design of the recyclable material Ss have selected.
10. Ss will perform the ART Model .
11. Ss will do the presentation about the ART Model, theywill describe the design and its
purpose, in English classes. April 22-26/2019
12. Ss will design a draft of an ecological stand and ICT presentation about the purpose of
the ART Model.
13. Ss will write and describe the materials they will use for the ecological stand- using
infographics, mind maps, time line.-
14. Ss will design their ecological stand at School.
15. Logistic and schedule
16. Final oral Presentation using ICT.
17. Ss will introduce their Art Project in Primary Branch.
18. Ss will show their final presentation in GALERY EXHIBITION in the hall at San José
Norte.

material.

Because Ss. can express a look for solutions to recycle plastic to avoid global warming, it can develop
critical thinking, as well as, they require read many articles related to this topic.

1. There is a cancer foundation that collects plastic and paper in order to recycle, reuse and reduce the
global warming, when they transform the plastic they get money for children cancer treatment.
2. Students love designing and creating new objects, they are able to express their ideas through Art.
3. There are several videos where students can take into account to work with plastic, paper, my students
are aware of taking care of the flora and fauna.
4. As entrepreneurs and business leaders, students can create their own company to recycle, reuse and
reuse plastic.

Colombian TEFL Action Plan Name: OLGA LEONOR TORRES SÁNCHEZ Class: EleventhGraders– ColegioSan José Norte IED 1 Research Question: How can recyclable materials be transformed into Art to save the planet? Strategy: Promote collaborative learningteamwork “realize how plasticbottles, bags and all recyclable material canbecome useful to protect the environment; Ss can lead written and oral campaigns to transform plastic into Art in an exhibition at school. What steps must be taken to accomplish this strategy? 1. Colleagues´ Socialization – “English Project – TEFL Action Plan” 2. Awareness related to recycling, reduce and reuse (plastic, bags, paper).- Conference and recycling workshop “Operadores de aseo, Bogotá Limpia” 3. Contact “Sanar”, its main goal is to help children with cancer. This foundation will get a conference / speech to teachers and high school students about recycling and how to contribute to save children´s lives and the planet, “reduce and reuse caps, plastic, bags and paper. 4. Ss will register of sequence ofphotos since Ss start the project until the project is totally done. Ss will create their time line, schedule, blog. 5. Discuss about Global warming, using videos and pictures. Ss will be organized in groups of four in order to design a Draft, using an ICT presentation, Ss have to look for causes and consequences and possible solutions to stop Global Warming, Ss will write articles using Modal verbs related to recycling procedure. 6. Ss.Will do the presentation about how to contribute inorder to recycle, reuse and reduce plastic, bags, and paper. 7. Ss will be organized in groups 3 or 4, they will select a recyclable material in order to design a DRAFT ART MODEL, or a recyclable material to be reused into a useful object, it will help Ss to visualize and lead a potential functional business to be done in Colombia and other countries. 8.
