Cady Heron transfers to a new high school where she meets Janis and Damien, who warn her about the popular clique known as the "Mean Girls". Cady later joins the Mean Girls, led by Regina George, but grows jealous after seeing Regina kiss her crush. With Janis and Damien's help, Cady begins sabotaging Regina. This leads to a climactic confrontation where Regina plans revenge after realizing Cady betrayed her. Ultimately, the conflict is resolved when everyone speaks openly at a school meeting, Cady chooses her math team over a dance with the popular group, and the Mean Girls disband.

RISING ACTION
1. Cady meets Janis and Damien on her first day at school.
