1. Football Hooligan Clothing
Football hooligans also wear thick
jackets/coats because they are
mostly outdoors and it will keep
them warm. However, the coats are
also worn with the representation of
it making them look ‘harder’,
‘bigger’ and ‘braver’.
One of the iconic
clothing in Football
hooligan movies are
the shoes the
characters wear. The
shoes they usually
wear are Adidas retro
trainers. This makes
them stand out and
relates them to
football hooligans
from the 60s and 70s.
Popular clothing brands that are worn are Stone Island,
Burberry, Aquascutum, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, CP company,
Fred Perry.
Most wear baggie
jeans as they are
more relaxed and
feel as though they
have more
freedom. This
represents the
attitude of football
hooligans as they
think they ‘rule the
world’ and can
beat anyone in a
fight.
Evaluation
During our opening of our film we will need to plan out what each character is wearing so the
audience get the idea of football hooliganism being the main theme of our film. We will do this by
dressing each character with appropriate clothing. E.g. Adidas shoes, polo shirt with a coat and jeans.
Clothing is an essential part of our film because we need to make it realistic and mature whereby the
audience take it seriously and understand the theme of our film.
