1. Mis-En-Scene TRAILER TRASH THEME: Setting I can view my band in this photo lined up dressed in ‘Trailer trash’ costume. I like how it looks so messy and unorganized. I chose trailer trash as my theme for the photography of my magazine. The whole look of trailer trash is very stereotypical for being poor, which Is not the way of a rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, I feel that using this as a theme challenges the stereotypical rock look. Typical trailer.
2. Mise-en- scene TRAILER TRASH THEME: Costume The type of costume I will need to achieve the ‘Trailer trash’ look is very similar to redneck style, for example the girl look is almost like 80’s rock style with leopard print leggings or spandex, something that glitters or sparkles which is very girly but still challenges the stereotype. This style can also be made to look like the ‘In’ fashion at the moment, which will appeal to the girls reading the magazine. This style can also be made to look edgy. Big Hair also seems to be the trailer trash look very 1980’s. As for the males mullets or a rugged, unshaven red neck style. Beer is also seen a lot in trailer trash style, however this may not be appropriate for the age of our target audience.
4. INSPIRATION: I researched girls that could inspire the trailer trash theme and discovered Joy from TV programme, My Name Is Earl. She has the perfect girl next door, trailer trash look that im going for. This image has the whole package, the big hair the tacky clothes and the attitude.
