Israel Obatunde has worked as an art director for a national newspaper in Nigeria since 2009. With a background in science and psychology, he has evolved into a career in art and design. In 2014, he worked on the re-election campaign of Governor Abiola Ajimobi as an art director for a leading Nigerian advertising agency. He later enrolled in an advertising academy to further develop his skills in concept formulation, strategy, and art direction. As a freelancer, Obatunde has created designs for several renowned agencies in Nigeria utilizing his skills in art direction, graphic design, web design, photography, strategy, and video editing.
4. 01 MyStory
Obatunde Israel also known as Izzy started his career back in 2009 as an art director for one of
the popular national newspaper house in Nigeria known as Nigerian Tribune.
As a science student back in secondary school and a student of psychology in the university, he
has managed to evolve himself into the world of art with incredible possibilities.
In 2014, he worked with one of the leading advertising agencies in Nigeria; Insight
Communications as an art director during the Governor Abiola Ajimobi 2014/2015 re-election
campaign.
Due to the desire for more knowledge, he later resigned from the media house and enrolled in
an advertising agency (o2 academy) where he learnt concept formulation, strategy and
perfected his art directing.
As freelance for renowned agencies, he has created good directions working with agencies like
Oxygen 101 among others.
