groups of four.
2. Submit two copies (1. A soft copy to your lecturer 2. A hardcopy).
3. Plagiarized work will be penalized
4. No late assignments will be accepted.
5. Each work submitted must have references where applicable.
1. How can a transaction processing system help an organization’s management information system
and decision-support system?
[5 marks]

2. Which of the four major types of information systems (TPS, MIS, DSS, ESS) do you think is the
most valuable to an organization?
[5 marks]

3. Discuss the benefits and challenges of enterprise systems and explain why a firm would want to
incorporate one.
[10 marks]

4. Discuss how Information Systems can be used to curb the (Michael Porters`) five forces that can
determine a company’s fate
[10 marks]
