2. WHO ARE THE INVISIBLE CHILDREN?
The organization Invisible Children was founded in
founded in 2003 by Jason Russell, Bobby Bailey
and Laren Poole. The three California natives
documented the war in Northern Uganda. Their
focus was to depict the abduction of children used
as soldiers in the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA).
The Invisible Children campaign has made
continuous efforts to raise awareness and funds
rebuild war-torn schools. Providing the youth with
more opportunities.
3. WHY SOCIAL MEDIA?
In the nine years that
the Invisible Children
Campaign has been in
existence it has made
minimal strides. In 1
week of uploading a
documentary video to
their YouTube account
it received over
78,000,00 views!
6. NOW WHAT?
Now that the shock and
awe is over, how will
Invisible Children
continue to gain a
following and motivate
their established
supporters to continue
to fight for the children
of Northern Uganda
and in the fight against
Joseph Kony?
