The Promising Leaders Program is a paid summer internship initiative through New Haven Promise that places Promise Scholars in internships at various Yale and local organizations. It aims to build the scholars' career and business experience while also developing Yale SOM students' leadership and mentoring skills. In the first two years, the program placed 79 scholars in internships and expects to place 100 scholars in the summer of 2016. The program consists of an internship fair, leadership workshop, and career mentorship opportunities for participants.
