the Krakowiak is a fast, Polish dance from
the region of Krakow. This dance is known to
imitate horses, the steps mimic their
movement, because horses were loved in the
Krakow region of Poland for their civilian as
well as military use. It became a popular
ballroom dance in Vienna ("Krakauer") and
Paris ("Cracovienne").
3. Clothing
When dancing, men wear a blue or black coat
with ornaments, white shirt, red hat with a
peacock’s feather, and striped trousers. They
also wear long black leather boots.

usually flowers. They sometimes wear a vest in
sequins.
