HABITS OF MINDS
2. We began to realize that if we
wanted to change
the situation, we first had to
change ourselves.
And to change ourselves
effectively, we
first had to change our
perceptions.

5. Law Of Harvest:
You always reap what you
sow; there is no shortcut.
This principle is also true,
ultimately, in human
behavior, in human
relationships. They, too, are
natural systems based on
the Law of the Harvest.
6. Succeed at home first.
Seek and merit divine help.
Never compromise with honesty.
Remember the people involved.
Hear both sides before judging.
Obtain counsel of others.
Defend those who are absent.
Be sincere yet decisive.
Develop one new proficiency a
year.
Plan tomorrow's work today.
Hustle while you wait.
Maintain a positive attitude.
Keep a sense of humor.
Be orderly in person and in work.
Do not fear mistakes -- fear on
ly the absence of creative,
constructive, and corrective
responses to
those mistakes.
7. Habit 1 says, "You're the creator.
You are in charge." It's based on
the four unique human
endowments of imagination,
conscience, independent will, and
particularly, self-awareness. It
empowers you to say, "That's an
unhealthy program I've been
given from my childhood, from my
social mirror. I don't like that
ineffective script. I can change."
8. MIND MAPS:
We all know that
"the map is not the territory." A
map is simply an explanation of
certain aspects of the territory Perceptions Of Mind:
Suppose you wanted to arrive at a specific
location in Islamabad. A street map of the
city
would be a great help to you in reaching
your destination. But suppose you were
given the wrong map. Through a printing
error, the map labeled “Islamabad" was
actually a map of Detroit. Can you
imagine the frustration, the ineffectiveness
of trying to reach your destination?
