5. Introduction:-
Film genres are basically categories of different types of Movies. Genres such as romance,
musical, animated, and science fictions are currently highest on demand in the entertainment
world. For Genre compare and contrast I have chosen two different movies “Frozen and Disney
Frozen”.
Frozen Movie
Frozen is a 2010 American Horror film written and directed by Adam Green produced by Peter
Block Cory Neal and production of A Bigger Boat ArieScope Pictures. It was released on 5
February 2010 by Anchor Bay Films.
Frozen
The cover page of Frozen reflects a terrible cold, a man is hanged on the chair-lift from a terrible
height and a girl is stuck on the chair-lift in a dark cold night which reflects a terrible situation
for them. The story tells that three best friends Dan, Joe and his girlfriend Parker, go for a
weekend ski trip. Since Parker is a beginner, they spend most of the day on the bunny hills. As
night and a storm approach, they decide for one last big run. Unfortunately, due to a series of
misunderstandings, and the fact that they bribed their way onto the lift rather than buying tickets,
they are left stranded halfway up the mountain as the resort closes down for the week. The lift is
terribly high, and it's terribly cold. The cable is razor-sharp, and there are wolves in the woods.
6. Frozen Animated Movie
Frozen is an animated 2017 American 3D computer-animated featurette, produced by Walt
Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures.
“Frozen”
In the Frozen cover page, Elsa’s power is the ability to control ice. There is also a girl Anna, a
boy Kristoff and an Olaf on the Sven in a terrible cold. The story tells that king has inherited a
curse which has cursed her to have magical power. When she was young, she nearly to killed her
sister Anna while she was performing the some spell. When she canceled her magical power so
that she might be enable to hurt anyone.
7. These are some major contrast of “Frozen and Frozen”
FROZEN VS FROZEN
Contrast of Themes in Frozen & Frozen:-
1. Disney “Frozen” creates a break of stereotypical mold by adaptation of a fairytale that
has different storyline and characters from the past production from Walt Disney
Pictures. “Frozen” about a queen who rules over mythical kingdom. Frozen movie
themes is about Acceptance of One’s Self, Feminism, True Love, Isolation, Family, I
found Frozen to be particularly striking, and a film that touched on much heavier themes
with an unabashed sense of depth.
2. “Frozen” Movie creates thrill by presenting three young people who end up trapped on a
skilift during a snowstorm, with wolves under them and no rescue available for 5 days.
Frozen movie’s themes are about Nightmare Vacation, stranded, survival in the
wilderness. There is also the theme of hopelessness.
Contrast of Plot in Frozen & Frozen:-
1. Disney “Frozen” started off a kingdom and one of the princesses has the power of
freezing and creating ice and ended up by saving her sister and got clarified that her
power is a blessing but not a curse.
2. “Frozen” Movie started with a adventure but ended up with one survival. The plot of
“Frozen” is that three skiers are stranded on a chairlift and forced to make life-or-death
choices that prove more perilous than staying put and freezing to death.
8. Contrast Genre & Subgenre Frozen & Frozen:-
1. Disney “Frozen” Movie Genre is “Folklore or Folktale” and Sub Genre is “Fairytale”.
2. “Frozen” Movie Genre is “Fiction” and Sub Genre is “Realistic Horror Fiction”.
Contrast of setting in Frozen & Frozen:-
1. Disney “Frozen” is the inspirited by the movie “snow white”. Disney “Frozen” is the
nature and culture of Norway.
2. “Frozen” Movie is shooted in New England ski resort on Mount Holliston United
States.
Contrast of Characters in Frozen & Frozen:-
1. Disney “Frozen” Elsa the main protagonist from the movie “Frozen” has a young sister.
At the end Elsa from the movie “Frozen” stay single all the way.
2. In “Frozen” Movie like Elsa, Parker Only the girl survives the ordeal. The ski-lift falls
off the cord due to pressure being put on it after one of her friends’ climbs on the cord
holding it. Wolves eat both of her friends and she is picked up by a driver on the road.
Hopefully to sue the ski resorts butts off.

Some major Compare & Contrast Of “Frozen and Frozen”
similarities:-
1. Both “Frozen and Disney Frozen” movies names are same.
2. Both “Frozen and Disney Frozen” movies represents “Cold and Hilly Snowy area”.
3. Both “Frozen and Disney Frozen” movies main heroines or protagonist Elsa met their
family and sister. Paker survives and met their family at the end of Movie.
4. Both “Frozen and Disney Frozen” movies portray of love for dear one.
5. Both “Frozen and Disney and Frozen” movies share some type of tragedy.
6. Both “Frozen and Disney and Frozen” movies bring disaster for the protagonist.

3. “Frozen” Queen Elsa possesses the cry-kinetic power while she is able to produce ice,
frost, and snow by her hand. While in “Frozen” protagonists eaten by wolves.
4. In Both “Frozen and Disney Frozen” movies Elsa and Parker and his friends did
different decision of facing their problem.
5. “Disney Frozen” is about Queen Elsa story. While “Frozen” is about three skiers
stranded on a chairlift.

10. “Disney Frozen” movies ended happily and give positive moral value. While “Frozen”
is ended up with only one survival Parker.
13. Conclusion:-
To conclude with, I have compared the similarities and differences between the Movies. “Disney
Frozen and Frozen” have similar and different aspects of production, characters, themes, plots,
setting, as well as moral values of the movies. I think that Disney’s Movies have given a lot of
impact and entertainment to us. “Frozen” Movie by Adam Green provides a thriller and full of
horror entertainment. Both movies “Disney Frozen and Frozen” showed various similarities and
differences. After doing research on the two Movies, I have learned that we should never lose
hope, and courage and stayed determined in life. Thus animated magical and Horror genres are
always in my top list.
