Blast-Off with Piano© for K5 thru 2nd

It’s the perfect start!! Blast-Off! with Piano© gives beginning students a successful
introduction to the piano and the small group setting makes it extra fun! Learn keyboard
geography and rhythm basics, enjoy fun sheets and games, and share in the joy of music
together! Each student learns on their own digital piano in our digital piano lab. Classes
meet once a week for five weeks. Special performances on the last day of class.

First Strings VIOLIN! for 1st
to 3rd
graders
Begin your strings “career” and get a head start on private lessons in this beginning class!
With this enjoyable introduction to the violin, students learn basic bow grip, hand position,
and fingerings. Game time and hands-on experience with a violin just your size also
ensures a fun and successful introduction to the violin.

Voice for Young Singers for 5 to 9 yr olds
Is your young singer just dying to take lessons? VOICE FOR YOUNG SINGERS gives these
budding vocalists an opportunity to explore and develop their voices in a group setting.
Learn proper posture and breathing techniques and begin the basics of music theory. Each
student will gain confidence in solo singing while also learning to harmonize with the others
in our class as they are exposed to a wide range of music from the classics to Broadway.
Special performances on the last day of the session.

Beginning Guitar for 10-13 yr olds
Have you always wanted to play the guitar? Don’t wait any longer – this class is just for
you! In this beginner course you will learn all the basics, including tuning, strumming
chords and playing melodies. No prior experience is necessary, but you will need to bring
your own guitar. (If you need a guitar, we strongly recommend a classical guitar from
Musical Innovations.) A clip-on tuner is also strongly recommended.

Beginning Ukulele for 6-9 yr olds
Bring your ukulele for a time of music-making together! Not only is the ukulele fun to play,
but it also lays a great foundation for guitar lessons later on. Learn to read chord charts,
feel the beat, and strum with rhythm and style. And then… Show off all of your hard work
with a performance at the end of the camp!

New! Beginning Harp for 1st

Imagine the beautiful sounds of a harp in your own home! Our Beginning Harp class
provides the perfect foundation for a successful start with harp. Be introduced to the harp
as well as to some basic technique and music theory. Students will learn some simple tunes
to play for the special performance on the last day of class. Harps may be purchased from
Musical Innovations.
